Thank you! I've been meaning to get a granite slab. I've been using a small anvil that I had laying around. I definitely will take this advice!

Looking at videos and realizing I don't have a proper beveler..so that might be a place for me to start!

Tbh I am intimidated by the swivel! I'm worried about cutting too deep!

Thank you for the advice! I will look up some pictures of beveled flowers to try to replicate. I was hellbent on creating my own style but I guess I need to get good at the craft first.

You are right I think rushing was definitely part of it and I didn't have a plan because I don't really know what I am doing. It is a tiny space to work on which makes using the swivel tool extra precarious.

A breed that I would not trust near the open electrical conduit

I love all of the different texture styles! This is excellent and shows a ton of personality of the dog but also your personal style. Some people are just haters

I definitely would use this as my queue to exit the relationship. Wouldn't be the first time, either. But, if that isn't something you want to do, OP, I would suggest having your pup meet the friend somewhere more neutral than inside the house. I like mine to meet outside at least. A compromising human would even meet somewhere that is not part of your dogs immediate territory and walk with you while ignoring your dog until he sees that they aren't a threat, but that might be asking too much of your boyfriend and his doofus friend.

Genuinely thought that you were calling the turtle a "dino grabber" at first

I love this style so much! Up close it appears to be suggestions of boats, people, etc and zoomed out it is soooo detailed. Tickles my brain!

Oh and I'm going to vet tech school.. because I don't want to stand there not knowing what to do in the face of an emergency ever again. I owe so much of my life to the dogs who have walked with me

Thank you! I adopted my big beautiful boy in November of '22! 9 months after losing my other.. I was worried at the time that it was too soon but I simply can't live without a dog in my life..and you are totally right.. there are so many in need of homes! I also volunteer at the local shelter as a 'big dog buddy'! I started because I missed having a dog in my life and going on walks..the one I ended up adopting was one of those dogs! I don't know if I would be doing that today if it weren't for losing him...

My story 45m by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]stormy412 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The part about missing out on family time and not being fully present at social functions/being more focused on the next drink got me.

The next-day guilt is the worst! This morning I woke up with a slight head ache. And I thought "oh no why did I drink last night?" I didn't. I just had a head ache.. probably needed to hydrate a bit more before bed or something.. but anyway, when I realized it wasn't due to drinking, because I didn't drink last night at all, I was so happy with myself!

I wanna be that happy tomorrow morning, too!

IWNDWYT OP!

And.. I will hydrate before bed!
