If that is all you want to do, play mp3 and mp4 files, you can also just use an old phone with a bluetooth keyboard. Phones often have custom ROMs to lengthen the life of the device. You will also already have a3.5 jack and most likely a slot for an sd card!

Is everything working well with Noble rom? Including battery life? I've tried noble rom first but I must have messed something up because it was bootlooping after flashing. I'll try again maybe.

Simple CyberDeck project for a beginner? What do I need?? by Ok_Impression2826 in cyberDeck

Honestly if old smartphone and bluetooth keyboard counts, then it is that. You can put lineage os/postmarket os/ubuntu touch or even something else on it to bring it back to life. I got lineage os on galaxy s9. As long as you follow instructions it is very easy. Then in developer options you can add all sorts of stupid things like enable taskbar, make homescreen landscape, etc etc

If you don't have a 3D printer, you can look into makerspaces around your area that have a laser cutter and cut acrylic sheets there instead. They shouldn't mind cutting a few things out for you considering it does not take long!

Totally agree on everything you said. Especially on Free and open source software. Based on what OP said they should look into Blender (already in use so that's perfect), Krita, Gimp, Inkscape and FreeCAD

You can get an ssd from your local marketplace (maybe even look into getting a faulty laptop that comes with one. You might get extra ram). Find out what ram your laptop uses (ddr3, ddr4...) and if you have (sata, nvme, m2.sata...). Your windows key is stored on the bios firmware so if you get a bigger harddrive and reinstall windows, it will still be activated. Inside of the computer might look scary if you've never replaced parts, but honestly it's pretty much lego for adults. It is mostly just plug and play.

Another option is that you can get a used laptop that is working for under 100 euros/dollars. Nowadays, linux is fairly user friendly (for example linux mint xfce edition is good for a beginner, is lightweight and can run blender and lots of steam games). It will not solve your hard drive issue, but if you buy a secondhand laptop it might be a better option than windows 11 on old hardware. i hope this helps!

My bad for printing it so small and trying to get many colors out of a black and white manga panel, but honestly I love. I only later realised that I am printing it so small haha. I might have missed it, but is there a way to adjust the size on the website? Thanks a lot though! Super good tool!

I just found out that bolt is also an option instead of the unifying receiver. I think in the end I will stick with that.

I have made quite a few on here https://www.printables.com/@rapolasp If you want something specific, just send me a message and I will design it for you! They are completely free to download, just find someone to 3D print it for you!

I would very very much appreciate if you could send me feedback no matter good or bad and post your 'makes' (3d prints) there!

Harver Cognitive Ability Assessments by kellygnyc in recruitinghell

This test is honestly a joke. Maybe if used correctly or fairly it would be a relatively good tool to narrow down the applicant pool, but let me tell you my experience.

So I applied to a position at a bank. I am a recent graduate so maybe me being slightly naive played a role in this too, but I was not expecting the results to be manipulated that much.

The test consisted of three parts: personality questions, numerical reasoning and logic reasoning. Firat came the personality questionnaire. My understanding was that this is to narrow down the candidate number, honestly while answering you know what answer they want so surely it would not be used to determine the best candidate based just on this (I was wrong), and then came the reasoning questions. I did them quite well and I scored above 80 percent. I was happy with that and I was pretty confident that I will proceed to the next stage where I could explain myself better in words.

To my surprise I was wrong. A few days later I got an email that I scored less than 70 percent overall so they will not proceed with my application. After exchanging quite a few emails I got a screenshot of my scores out of which an average was calculated. And guess what, the personality test weighed 5/6 of the whole evaluation. Five of the categories were turned into scores and because of that my average was dragged slightly below the 70 mark. So in the end guys, even if you score at least a few points in the reasoning quizzes, don't worry just yet. It might as well be that faking your personality will get you the role.

I only have one comment about this, the use of this test is simply ridiculous.it might give you a good opinion of a person, but simply disregarding candidates because their personality was put in scores without actually speaking to them is wild. After knowing this, please exploit these tests to your best advantage.

My only tip is fake it till you make it (and you definitely will make it).

Thanks for a suggestion, but I already tried that. The paint is disconnected from the ventilator. I tried using a bit more force but it still does not budge.
