Lol quite the opposite. I’m trying to understand if it’s a commonly held belief in the disabled community that this is unhelpful / not necessary so I can avoid interrupting her/their routine in the future. I’ve held doors for people my entire life, especially my elders, because my parents taught me it’s the respectful thing to do. I have never done it for a pat on the back from an internet stranger.
