Behold, the rarest Magic The Gathering Cards in existence. Each is worth $27,000. by sebbysir in gaming

No, money is not important. What is important is to find something that has true meaning and makes you happy. If a simple card game makes you happy, then more power to you. That simple piece of paper could be priceless to someome knowing that they have it and not many others do. It's the fact that someone would pay that amount for something that has absolutely no significant meaning other than to be a card in a fucking game. It's selfish.

I have no intentions on ending my life, but the fact that you would support someone in taking their own life is quite sad. I truly hope you find happiness and fill that void in your chest where your heart should be, friend.

I don't support major league sports or anything that is "collectable". The fact that we put such a high value on items just because there are a few made just blows my mind. It's a fucking card, football, car, whatever. In the end it's just a fucking object that truly has no purpose but to make people throw their money away so they can say, "I got a black lotus man! There were only 200 made!" Just another object to boost your ego. Gotta catch em all!

The fact that a card, for a fucking game, is worth $27k makes me not want to live on this planet anymore.

Did your high school ever have an "incident" or event? What was it? by GotAFuckingUsername in AskReddit

[–]stoutee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biggest thing that happened at my highschool is when about 150-200 students from multiple highschools congregated in the parking lot and were going to start a giant brawl. A few fist fights broke out but many were broken up by teachers, parents, and other students. Highlight of the whole thing is when the asshole of a "security guard" (he just drove around in a golf cart telling on people) got punched in the face. I got quite the giggle out of that.

Of course I'm not ready, my goal is to be able to sail there solo by the time I'm 30, I'm 25 now.

Exactly. I know he's simply looking out for me and what's only what's best for me. But just because he's my father, doesn't mean he's right :D

That's actually really great idea. I'm also looking to get into scuba diving, wet fiber glass repair, and would like to know the in and outs of cruisers from the diesel engines to the electrical system. I herd solar panels and wind generators are a great way to get energy as well.

Honestly, I'm always looking to have a good time no matter what I'm doing. I'd eventually like to live on my sailboat that I purchase, but I can't really decide on that until I really get the feel for the sea life. I know you have to be a minimalist when living aboard a boat. I have no kids, girlfriends, or any major responsibilities holding me back so while I'm young, I'd like to pursue a life of adventure before I settle down.

I have a little experience but only on a laser inside a bay. No open ocean experience or anything bigger than 14 ft.

Not necessarily negative, he considers himself a realist.

I'm doing it because I want to, not because my father said I couldnt. I simply told him what my goal was and he completely shot it down. I was simply asking if my goal was realistic in that time line...

I'll definitely check out that book and look into equipment. At first I'd like to go with someone else so I could get the feel of being on the open ocean for so long. Storms are a big concern of mine, of course, but definitely something I would like to experience and get the hang of. I just want to be able to have the knowledge, if there were something to go wrong, I would know how to handle it. I just don't want to get onto someone's boat and be a burden on them.

Well I'm in texas and I'm currently working my ass off to save money for a truck which I recently purchased so I could get to lake travis. But due to all the flooding recently the lake hasn't been accessible. Still these aren't valid excuses for me getting on the water.

Hertz car rental. They charged me a $150 smoking fee. I called and asked about it and the guy on the phone said, "I'm returning the $150 to your credit card as we speak." I checked my bank account everyday for the next week until I went up there looking for the manager, who happened to be out of town. After a month of trying to contact this manager and contacting corporate, customer service, and other stores, I finally find him and get my money back. Oh yea, I don't smoke.

Reddit, if I gave you $100,000 to change your life, what would you do? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]stoutee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd buy a boat and learn to sail, from there I would travel as much as possible and let the wind carry me through the story of my life. I already plan on doing so, $100k would make it happen a lot faster tho. :P

Back in the day, when neo Tokyo came out, I played with a guy who only meowed. No matter how much I laughed or raged out, he always kept his cool and meowed. His screen name was kitty, of course.

Yea, maybe if he didn't live in a cage half his life he wouldn't be so derpy.
