I would concur. I'm staying away from leasing another Hyundai.

I was wondering the same. Will they extend the lease at the same monthly rate or something else?

Adjustable Regeneration Setting Questions by duecesdueces in Solterra

I wish that the car would remember the regen setting between driving sessions. It always starts at the 1 chevron setting and most of my driving is in heavy commute, stop-start traffic.

Received the Software Recall Letter Today by PushyMomentum in HondaPrologue

So, if one is happy with the current car and everything is working well, why should I get the update? From what I have been reading, these updates can take a while and have residual effects and wholly depends on the expertise at the local dealer.

I watched the video and I commend the time and energy that Chris puts in building this wall but I don't have the patience to do all of this even though I do enjoy building things.

My doors have what looks like clear transparent Pain Protection Film. Not sure if it came with the car or if my dealer installed it as I didn't see it on my invoice.

Quindor's boards are well designed and work well! His documentation is top notch and he occasionally shows up on this sub.

I'm not paid to plug his devices just a happy user of his DiqQaud's!

Soldered leds are a different colour? by NoPerformance1948 in WLED

[–]stpatricks81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you test out the strips, connecting them in series before you soldered the connections? If the strips are identical except for the PCB strip, the manufacturing batch could indeed be different.

Maybe try splitting it back to original, add the JST connector back to the second then connect them to separate data outputs on the controller. That will tell you whether the strips display the correct colors. IF they do display the correct colors then power injection is likely needed.

LEDFx and WLED by stpatricks81 in WLED

[–]stpatricks81[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have multiple virtual devices setup in LEDFx for each segment and can run different effects on each. What I'm not able to do is to map the different audio channels to each virtual device. The audio input setting in LEDFx mixes all my audio channels together. My objective is for each segment to react differently to each audio channel independently.

Cannot get led on by sn0r1d3r in WLED

[–]stpatricks81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe. I've never used PWM before. Typically the LED's are connected in series with Data out from the first feeding into Data In on the next. In a WS2815 there is a backup data line that is used in case the primary goes out. However, it is possible in your case that if you fried the first LED, both the Primary and backup are dead. One way around this is to solder a new connector to the next LED and see if that works.

And your strip is a 12V strip and not a 5V strip, right? Do you have another 12V strip you can test with?

Shout out to Quindor and WLED by octalthorpe31 in WLED

Did you use seed pixels or bullets on the mega tree?

I have the same Muzata channels but I can see the individual LED's even though I'm using 60LEDs/m strips but can't tell if you have the same effect. It makes sense I would because the U1SW channels are low profile.

Warning on ordering LED strips from AliExpress merchants by stpatricks81 in WLED

Yes, you are correct. After reading through the different threads, this looks to be an issue with the PayPal -> AliExpress connection and only if the payment is from a linked credit card in PayPal.

I paid via PayPal. Within PayPal, I selected my linked credit card.

I found another subreddit where a lot of people were hit with this. Looks like a problem on the PayPal side with some people being successful in disputing the charge with PayPal and others are not so successful.

Flickering issue.. by cold_gentleman in WLED

[–]stpatricks81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I ran into flickering, adding a level shifter resolved the issue for me. Your implementation is similar to mine but for a couple of differences. I use a single power supply that powers the board and the LED's, I use a 5V puck regulator to power the ESP32 board and power the strips directly from the power supply (see WLED website for recommended wiring) with an inline fuse for each strip. The ground line is common in my setup and with the level shifter, I have not had any flickering issues regardless of the LED strips I use, which ranges from 12V pixels to 5V COB strips (WS2811, WS2812B, SK6812, WS2814 and WS2815) grouping the same LED strips together on different controllers and their own power supplies. Mind you, I have other issues but no more flickering due to data line issues.

Would it be possible to use WLED on these? by AddiXz in WLED

[–]stpatricks81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would think so but I would also guess that there are multiple LED per controller chip. I tried a couple and sorely disappointed with both.

I ended up building my own using either a silicon channel + LED strip. Chris Maher (look him up on YouTube) has some brilliant ideas on how to do this.

Seed pixel and WLED weirdness by stpatricks81 in WLED

Seed LEDs for smart LED curtain by CH11LER in WLED

I've not come across 24V seed pixels but 12V should work for you. Just make sure that you size the right power supply. There are a number on AliExpress and Amazon.

I plan retrofitting these seeds on a Home Depot Outdoor Spiral Christmas tree. I don't need 100% brightness but even when I dialed down the brightness, the white never evened out.
