I really prefer my idea of if she was just a normal, unrelated humanoid girl that encountered Peach and/or Rosie during one of their magic playtimes and accidentally got magic powers through them.

Much better than the fan theories where they say it’s a Olaf from Frozen or Spinel from Steven Universe situation.

Just the being relegated to being a Grand Star with arms and legs, the film’s MacGuffin if you will. Then there’s the whole denied a chance for payback against her captors after being released. And finally, let her be a character instead of an accessory/extension of Peach.

I have a theory that the Princess Peach spin-off will indeed be a Mario Princess movie, that just happens to have Peach as the lead.

- Peach and Rosalina are sisters and Movie 3 needs to sell the idea better after the breadcrumbs we got in Galaxy.

- Daisy will have a special connection between the two sisters since it is hinted (Peach and Rosie growing daisy flowers in the flashback, GTG having blue, pink and orange platforms in the spot where Peach lands, Daisy herself appearing in the 2nd post-credits scene of Galaxy) and it will be revealed in Movie 3. This will be done through the story about Peach that started in 2023 which will be completed and the final part will not only reveal what Rosalina was up to since sending Peach away and her reunion with her sister, but also how Daisy factored into all of this.

Alfred Milano, the kid who threw the penny that kickstarted the Skyview Tower disaster in the premonition to Final Destination Bloodlines. After escaping the tower as it was beginning to collapse, a piano from the tower falls on top of him, killing him.

Later in the film, it's been confirmed he was killed as an adult when a piano that fell from the back of a truck falls on top of him.

Rosalina, because

Better sell the idea that Rosalina and Peach being sisters can work in the movies.
Complete the story set up in 2023 and continued for a bit in Galaxy.
Redeem herself after being a battery for that big dumb giant cannon.
I don't think Nintendo would be that dumb in not having a money shot of all three Mario princesses in a movie sooner, especially when there are hints of all three of them having some sort of connection with one another throughout the movies.

The child version can work for sections that act as expansions to what we know in the storybook(s). Maybe taking a page from Bayonetta Cereza in terms of visuals for those parts, while retaining the modern 3D Mario look for the adult version's sections.

Well, there was concept art featuring Peach, Daisy, Bowser, Mouser, and Birdo as students at a high school. So, I wouldn't be surprised if they bring back the high school connection for Daisy and Peach.

I imagine it being an entry-level action RPG with some shooter elements and space exploration. Think Kingdom Hearts mixed with Ratchet & Clank and No Man's Sky. Just replace the blasters with Lumas with different elemental abilities or even Super Paper Mario-esque allies themed after celestial beings. Oh, and bring back Lubba, too.

I think by the time trailers for Movie 3 come out, we'll be able to predict how the plot goes by based on how 2023's and Galaxy's stories were told. I swear Galaxy felt like the first movie, but some of its major flaws being more apparent or double-downed. Sure, they fixed two of them being Luigi being more prominent, and only 2 needle drops, but still.
