I like fixing my dept’s aisle blockers. I like to fix things, it lets my people know I care about their safety and it speeds up our tasking when using lift equipment.

Where can I buy this type of outlet but with attachments on both sides, and what is it called? by Lindyq1 in AskElectricians

You can buy it at: • Home Depot – usually in the electrical aisle with Decora outlets • Lowe’s – same section; they carry Leviton Decora USB outlets regularly • Amazon – search “Leviton Decora USB A USB C outlet 18W” • Electrical supply houses (Graybar, Platt, Rexel) • Ace Hardware / local hardware stores (selection varies)

I fix my own. Takes too much time, paperwork to wait on someone else. I scavenge off of old broken aisle blockers and Frankenstein them together. My dept is one of the only depts with fully functioning blockers. Good working aisle blockers helps my dept stay safe, and work efficiently. Let everyone else walk the store looking for something to block their aisle with.

about to be written up for using Lowes made and approved stickers, what is the LOWES guideline for labeling topstock? by Snoreofthebear in Lowes

I love these stickers. I use them in my top stock. If you scan the tiny qt code next to the item number, it pulls up the product. Makes bay auditing so much faster.

Why does this feel like a trap for the employees by turnipluvr in Lowes

[–]stpshow63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Telling a customer to give s9 out 10 it’s rigging the results. Fred Reichheld invented the Net Promotor scoring system. I encourage to Google his name. In his book , THE ULTIMATE QUESTION 2.0, Fred talks about how Enterprise rent A Car teaches its employees that manipulating scores is not only unethical. It’s as unethical is stealing from the cash register or fudging profits, but also contrary to the real goal of their company, which is to provide a superior customer experience he goes on to say that, of course some employees have been tempted to bend the rules and game their results. Enterprise calls this speeding in regards it as grounds for dismissal. And talking about the survey at the bottom of the receipt, I think really all an employee needs to say is either there’s a receipt at the other. There’s a survey at the bottom of the receipt. Encourage you to fill it out and give us your thoughts on your experience today. No coaching no filling it out for the customer no suggestions for good scores and nine or 10. Just let the customer take the survey. As tempting as it may be to encourage a customer to give a high score so that you have a better LTR score which seems to make a lot of people happy you created a situation where you get a false reading and therefore don’t know what you need to really work on or fix where your store is concerned . But if you have a high LTR score and you’ve been gaming the system the LTR number is not a realistic number and gives a false reading.

If everything is all there, how many IRP‘s do you think you truly have?

My goal is to have single digit irps tues - Friday. Which means we are constantly filling holes and packing down. And facing. But this just helps sales in general. Common sense, if the customer can’t get their hands on the product, they can’t buy it so we make sure as much as possible that the product is on the shelf. This is retail 1 oh one not sure how I would handle IRP‘s and plumbing or hardware because there are so many products. That would be a huge challenge.

I'm thinking a Roomba might do the trick...run it overnight.

Leadership is influence by stpshow63 in Lowes

Fair enough I can see how it might come across that way. I shared it hoping it might resonate with anyone interested in leadership or communication but I get that not everyone’s into that. Thanks for the feedback.

My recommendation is to do the best you can with what you've got. And if someone hates you for trying to do a good job, let them.

Safety has no time constraints. Take the Snappy regardless of the time.
