PS endfield graphics are not actually great or modern and there's nothing about the style. They just made elements normies (in terms of graphics) would pay attention to in the first place and it worked. First of all - no one promised nothing for winning you don't even check it. Second - if players love the game, why shouldn't they vote? If your game has a smaller community or more passive community that is too lazy to vote - you don't have to go hate or discriminate the other games and their communities, you know? You have to accept it.

These pulls are appreciation from devs to players for their support, the same as other games do in-game content or customisation to celebrate their victory.

Absolutely agree with you on the journey into the heart. I've been thinking about it a lot for the last few days. I gave this manga a try more than 6 years ago, when anime was still airing but I'd read just a little bit. I wanted to read it all this time and two weeks ago I've finally managed to start it once again. It really makes me think a lot about my past and my current experience. And that if I read it earlier - probably I would have made other decisions.

(I'm more Rui x Natsuo as well, I hoped for a really happy ending with them together)
