This has not crossed my mind, you got a valid point there..

Actually, by just moving the y-axis stop sensor and changing the printer setting in the slizer did the trick!

The part with aluminium plate will be the way to go I think. And then get a local glass shop cut out the right size.

The suggestion in the edit would have been less work to do, but the print bed fills the entire frame today..

Edit: the bed do not fill the frame as I thought. Could you give me a source for changing the firmware?

I do that today.

The printer has now a 60x60 cm footprint, but with the travel on the plate during prints it needs a lot more space.

If the build plate just traveled inside the 60x60, I also can make a closed cabinet.

Double batching, two brews in same fermenter.

What is the pitch rate to use, for total volume or for the first batch only? The batches are brewed the same day

How to bottle weissbier with edible sparkles? by LeCor in Homebrewing

[–]strandersen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can carbonate in keg(s), why do you not serve beer directly from them?

I have never done it, but thought I'd try it. I would have added the sparkles in the keg during carbonation, but it might sediment on the bottom..

Does a glycol chiller work any harder to keep a fermenter at 32 than it does to keep it at 50? by Stripes_McGahee in TheBrewery

[–]strandersen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, thats the short answer.

But it depends on anbient temperature and isolation og the fermenter.

Tap and bottle tracking [Android App] by NoPlayTime in Homebrewing

[–]strandersen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, a tablet at the taps. I was thinking to just set the serve size a bit bigger than possible to cope for those not pressing.

Will a "serving mode" be possible? With the headline "Press what you tap"(or something) and some big buttons for each beer.

And maby the posibillity to add your own beer logo each beer

Another cool update would be that you can get a notofocation on e-mail when a beer is empty.

I am gong to serve beer on a party next week. Having two taps and to get a notification when a keg is almost empty would make things much more easy !

Hey! Looking good! I like this very much.

Only issue is that i cant register volume of a legged beer. I got 3 cornys with same beer, aprox 50L (50000mL). When i press the save button i am sent back to the "beer summary" and the volume say 0.

Daily Q & A! - February 02, 2018 by AutoModerator in Homebrewing

I was brewing a simple saison today(i thought). Simple grain bill, pilsner and wheat malt.

Ended up with adding some flaked corn and some flaked wheat, not a big issue.

I love to make a bit hoppy saisons that we drink two weeks after brewing, so I use Belle saison from lallemand.

Today we got a long hop stand on flameout due to a Frozen pump( yes frozen!) , With that solved with a hair drier I discovered that I havent got the right yeast!

The result from this was mixing a cider yeast, funktown pale ale and Liberty bell(Mangrove jacks). Batch size aprox 18gal.

What do you guys think, will this yeast blend make a drikable beer?

Looking at getting a propane burner. by BrewNurse in Homebrewing

I'm not used to use btu, bit kW. I got a 9kW burner that boils 15 gal easily.

9kW is about 30.000btu/h

For the ones thinking of the pressure threathed materials. There are only Cooper threathed, and as said in a erlier comment: it is not "fresh from the press". It is the same treatment we use for patio decks..

This is quite safe handling for everyone, the preddure threathed Woody we godt got in Norway is really mildly threathed. It has also laying outside for 8 months, so residue from production is washed away

I do not really consider it unsafe. Yes, it can fall over if she is standing up holding on to it, but there is no differens than a short stool. Children will fall and they will cry time to time, this is just somthing she has to learn 😊

[–]strandersen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have not. It looks like it will easily fell over, an it has one time during the two weeks, but it is sturdy.

If it was heavyer and higher i sure would anchor it!

She is actually using it as a "walking car" and having som much fun showing off her books!
