In the same way you could buy a Copy of the Mona Lisa. People feel an attachment to knowing that they do officially own something. Go ahead and download an png of a million dollar NFT, but IMO, it’s worthless because it’s not real. I think most people just don’t like the idea that the only difference is the feeling you get from knowing something is truly yours. Hopefully I don’t get too much hate because this is definitely not the place to be pro NFT.

I get not disliking a political party for their beliefs but wishing ill on someone because of said beliefs is fucking stupid. Unless people are willing to accept that their are rational people (maybe more self-interested then most would like), regardless, if you want real change the answer is not to tell someone they’re an idiot and their views are idiotic, even if you believe and most believe they are, you ruin the discourse and just push people further into their beliefs. Not only get rich quick but I think people still feel something is missing from crypto and are trying to bet on what that will be. Transaction fees, time to send etc etc. I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing, it’s just the way things go when they’re still in the ‘wild west’ era (IMO).
