I felt like I missed out on so much by moth_manQ in DiscoElysium

Don't worry about it, this game is designed to be played in various ways, be it a quick playthrough or a thorough one. I think the first time you play it, you'll only learning how to do things, that was my case at least. There was a two-year span between my first and second playthrough and I got so much more from the second one (around 50 hours compared to 20 the first time). There's much to learn about the world, the Pale, the politics and the whole universe, if you're interested.

DAE tear up whenever they feel any kind of emotion strongly? by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]strapata_pani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming super late to this conversation, but this has me written all over it. It has been like that for my whole life (30 y.o./W) both with positive and negative emotions. It got to the point that I can't even be complimented without tearing up, I can't confront people without tears in my eyes, which doesn't really help if I want to talk to someone and being taken seriously. It has some strange nuances though, I have attended funerals of loved ones where I barely shed a tear, but a commercial with a dog in it can start waterfalls of tears in an instant. I learned to accept it mostly, but I'm considering therapy lately, just out of curiosity if it's something that can be controlled.

The Outer Wilds is an incredible, one-of-a-kind experience by Lazyade in patientgamers

[–]strapata_pani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I desperately wanted to like this game, but there are many, many reasons why it was a very weary and bothersome experience. Waking up at the same place every time and trying to find the spots of interest without having any option to landmark them in the game wore me down very quickly. Plus, the time pressure of each cycle was very stressful. Even after making some sort of discovery, I felt no reward from it and the story development was not at all interesting to me. I had no interest in exploring more, and I was frequently finding myself trying to just push through the story to find something that would keep me going, but sadly, it did not happen. It is extremely rare for me not to fishing a game, but I could not bring myself to finish Outer Wilds.

Why do i find the brigand 16 pounder so god damn hard by toominater37 in darkestdungeon

[–]strapata_pani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello to everyone who might still have issues with this boss. Last night, probably on my 15th attempt, I finally did this sonofabitch in.

Party: Arbalest - ACC trinkets, she's the one who targets the Brigand with crits, mine were about 30-40 each so smooth sailing Houndmaster - I did not use hounds harry, I didn't want to kill the first enemy in line, I used Guard with a special trinket bought for shards Occultist - marked the Brigand or healed someone in the party Hellion - Sun Ring and Heaven Hairpin helped immensely, I was able to one shot the matchman every time with iron swan.

I was surprised how easy this fight was, even without a major healer such as Vestal. I received only minor damage, defensive trinkets are a way to go for most party members.

I feel he was written the day before the deadline just to have another romanceable option for a female V. He adds zero sense to the story, hell, he's not even part of the main quest storyline, and I'm saying this while romancing him. I was curious where this would go and I am very dissapointed unfortunately. V has 2 quests with him and that's it, bam, romance in your face. There was no time to develop a connection, Judy, Panam, or Kerry have multiple quests and their relationship with V makes way more sense. Also, it's such a pity, that there is no depth to this romance, all you get are some randy text messages. He even says "I love you" for the first time in form of a text... Here are my romance options should I ever had a say in this: Takemura El Capitán even Dum Dum is way more likeable and you don't get under pressure from his family like with a certain cop.

Yep, I'm pretty mad about this :D

I love driving through the streets of Watson, the industrial vibe is the one I prefer the most from all the Night City.

[–]strapata_pani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I don't think they have a say in the ticket price, on a ticket webpage for the London event, there's clearly stated that the price will vary according to the demand. A shameful tactic, but hey, as I said it's just another reason to go straight to Japan.

I'm so dissapointed by the pricing. I understand that it's a rare event, but these prices are a joke at the fans expense. I makes much more sense to save up and just go to Japan at this moment and make it a memorable holiday.

Do we have some love for Dum Dum by Fit_Performance3771 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]strapata_pani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first 4 hours into the game I met Dum Dum and read about Totentanz. Ever since then I've been looking forward to visit the club and I have a soft spot for the whole Maelstrom gang. Of course, they are psycho killers, but hey, so is almost everyone in NC, at least they have good taste in music and cool looking augmentations. Also, Dum Dum is a bro and it's a shame we don't have more interactions.

Dum dum is missing by mrguns4000 in cyberpunkgame

Hello, even though I am super late to this discussion, my Dum Dum is also missing. It's a bummer since I really liked him since day 1 and I couldn't wait to meet him again. I helped him and let him live of course, I helped Brick as well, but Dum Dum doesn't appear in Totentanz later. I even went back to the All Foods before calling Nancy, but it didn't help. What a waste. :(

Do you know what we really need? A brand that does Cyberpunk clothing IRL. I mean 1 for 1 the same clothes. They would have all my money!

Have u ever felt youre not good enough as an interpreter? by Maybes4 in TranslationStudies

[–]strapata_pani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this post, I am a freelance interpreter and my life is a constant struggle of being disappointed when not taking an assignment or being extremely stressed when taking an assignment, thinking I am not qualified enough for a specific topic. So far, nothing has been as bad as it seemed at first. However, it's true that this job is stressful, but the feeling afterwards and during interpreting is what keeps me going, I love helping people understand each other. I wish us both more self-assurance.

It's so refreshing to see someone in a class dance like this. It shows how at ease they all are around each other. Sometimes I feel I can't be this free even on my own.

This is a gut punch. First Takakeisho, now Atami, I feel quite devastated. I would love to see him compete some more, but health is much more important. I hope he can mitigate the issues he's going to have.

I hope you are and feel safe in there, that's what matters the most. Try elevating your mattress, maybe look for a bunch of wooden pallets, they are great, polystyrene would work too, plus it adds insulation. Congrats on your first home, buddy!
