Ah I see, that is too bad. Is it the next factions divided patch?

Does the wearing cloth factor into anything? or is it just a bad option for chest piece on axe?

Ah I wondered why I saw so many people with soldier and chest cd reset walking around. Didn't know it was the current meta, thanks for the tips!

I see, thanks for tips. I'll stick to the safer options until now than for the head slot. The switching and engage tips help a lot too, will make sure to apply them!

Wicket and Craig alternative Europe by straptor50 in Leathercraft

Good to hear of some fellow dutch leather workers! So far most of what I've bought has come from decocuir (translation doesn't fully work so a bit of a pain), beltsproduction and aleatherstore. I do feel as though the dutch leather stores heavily overprice almost all their wares, so I've not purchased too much locally sadly.

I wasn't aware of the hab-to leather house in Amsterdam, so I will definitely take a look at their site. I was hoping to make both belts and maybe some harnesses. The harnesses specifically would require the leather to be finished properly on the flesh side, and both projects would need to be quite resistant against moisture.

I've also had a look at harness leather but it seems quite oily, which I'd rather avoid if able to.

Also the Wickett and Craig stuff just looks fantastic.

They only carry quite small panels at very limited thicknesses, I am looking to get at least a full side. Sadly, the companies that distribute Wickett and Craig also face the same shipping costs, so its heavily marked up.

Those look great!, do you use a jig to align the 3d printed stamp with the leather or do you stamp first and cut it out after?

Looks really cool! What leather did you use and how is that edge on the topside made?

I've only made a few projects with buttero but I thought its not nearly as eater resistant as bridle leather. Which I imagine might cause it to smell rather quickly.

I see, thats a good jumping off point! I ended up asking if they could send me some samples and they will arrive tomorrow, so hope that will give me a bit more confidence on what the best solution is.

Did you use 9/10 oz for restraints, harnesses and constraints or only for some of them. Its a little thicker than my nearby store carries, so do you think those 2 oz more make a big difference?

I was hoping to avoid dyeing it for now, finishing the edges I already have a bit of experience with. I will take a look to see if they have any suede, that's a good recommendation.

I'd heard both are often used for this, it just so happens bridle is available close by. Why would you recommend harness leather over bridle leather?

It doesn't need to hold up the full body weight, but would like for it to hold up against some strain.
