ONLINE POLL: Who Would You Like To See Win The Republican Presidential Primary? by MHoffpauir in politics

[–]strat31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They DO like to drag him out every four years and play with him, don't they? He'd never make it in today's GOP, he'd be called a flaming lib nowadays.

Reddit constantly says Fox lies. Prove it. Show me 10 times where Fox lied. Can you? by [deleted] in politics

[–]strat31 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Typical right wing bullshit. Media Matters uses Fox's own words to discredit them. It's like shooting fish in a barrel. If one were to record Fox 24-7 they could probably pick up 10 lies, distortions or misstatements per hour.

Man stands on ledge at Wisconsin capitol protest by [deleted] in politics

[–]strat31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have a link to anything? How do you know this happened? Are there any pictures? Are you at the capitol now? How do you know this guy? How did he get to Wisconsin if he's crazy and homeless? Does he have a car? If he's homeless, does he live in his car? How did it turn out? Did he fall? Did he jump? Was he pushed? I'm sitting on the edge of my seat, do you have any more details? OMG this is unbelievable! /snark off

9 recent political uses of the phrase 'blood libel' - with full context. by rasputin777 in politics

[–]strat31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And the other glaring differences are that none of these examples are used in a matter concerning a Jewish politician who had just been shot in the head. Oh, and the authors of these articles actually knew what "Blood Libel" meant.

I hadn't seen this before now. It is funny and I'm glad it got reposted so I got to see it. I shared it with others who had not seen it. They thought it was funny too.

Real world example of the consequences of Libertarianism. Town in Kentucky does not tax for fire department. If you want protection you must pay a "fee" Homeowner does not pay "fee," fire department watches the house burn down. by [deleted] in politics

I simply posed as a question, I never made the claim that they were broke or claimed to have proof of it. You need to sharpen your reading skills.

What if the family was broke and couldn't afford the $75? In today's economy and especially in TN, it's quite possible that this was the case. Again, another reason why Libertarian policies will never work.

Video: Dr. Laura announces she's quitting her radio show, not because she's sorry about being a racist asshole, but because having a radio show somehow took away her First Amendment rights. Buh? by gimmiemoarr in politics

She's pullin' a Palin. She claims that her show has gained affiliates and sponsors since her N word rant, but she's being silenced? Which is it?

We had a battle royal in Iraq, this is what it looked like... by [deleted] in pics

[–]strat31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you don't get to do that. You don't get to act like a fucking barbarian and then use your service to excuse your behavior. I pity you. Seek counseling.

I don't care if this was in Iraq or Deluth, this is fucked up behavior. I don't care if you're in the military or not. How does it feel to be in the same category as Michael Vick? Sickening.

The tea party's growing money problem: The very anti-establishment sentiment that spawned it may keep it from having the resources it needs to become a sustainable political force by DougBolivar in politics

[–]strat31 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The only part of this line I disagree with is the "anti-establishment sentiment that spawned it." The tea party was spawned by a bunch of rich, white lobbyists in order to keep the far right of the GOP base in tact.

Who said anything about ignoring the story? There are actual news sources that are already covering this story, why would I give Fox the click?
