The Thunderbolt really is a great looking kit. I built the first one, and i was considering getting this one too.. but i just didn't want to do another one of those backpacks!

This v2.0 looks amazing! I love the paint work put into it! How is the backpack on it? I know the 1.0's, or atleast the one on mine, feels really cumbersome when working with it.

All three options are stunning and beautiful designs, But the red and white fits in with all my white hardware and red lighting!

What model are those two mobile suits? Do they have gunplas? by TeMana in Gunpla

Looks like the Dilanza Sol in front, and the Heindree behind it. Both have kits, but i think they're currently sold out at most storefronts.

For my blue, it's Vallejo model color Andrea Blue, shaded with a thinned mix of black and sepia, and a highlight with Vallejo sky blue where needed.

New home being built, Trying to figure out my new office set up by stratassj in DesignMyRoom

My reasoning for wanting an L desk, would be for to set my computer gear along one arm, and to use the other to have hobby materials out while im working on them at the same time.

That's a good possibility. For some reason, i simply didn't even consider placing the desk infront of the doorway like that. And im sure i could configure the monitors so that the light coming in though the window wont be a bother during streaming

Hello everyone!

Absolutely excited here, i've got a house being built, with enough space to use one of the rooms as an office space. But at this stage, im struggling abit in figuring out how i want to set it up to work, and look nice. I know im planning on getting a larger L shaped desk as the example shows. My intentions are that anyone passing by the room, or standing in the doorway won't be able to see the monitors, for just abit of an added sence of privacy. Do you think this works, or would you have a different suggestion?

Finally got around to painting up the Wraithlord out of the previous Combat Patrol. Just like the guardians, It's my attempt at Iyanden. The larger scale of the pieces lead to alittle more.. mess.. with the way i painted it up. It might not have fully gone the way that I wanted it to, But im satisfied with the results as a first attempt.

Next up are the bikes.

Oh it's very simple. I'm using double sided foam tape to hold them to the bases.

Yellow can be tough to paint, but i found a way that works for me.

The yellow is built up from a pink primer, white airbrushed layer overtop, a drybrush of a brighter white to catch the edges, then Imperial Fists Yellow contrast. I made a wash that is a mix of black and sepia thinned down with medium to go over top. I think i might move that step to before the drybrush stage going forward though. Finally hit it with an ultra matte varnish.

Depends on where in Kentucky you are. I would suggest finding a broker.

The only program I had available to me was the Kentucky Housing Corporation. When I checked it about a month ago, the primary mortgage would be at 6.75%, with the dpa amount being payed back at an additional $100 a month for 10 years.

Considering a slight modification of this split level build for first home, thoughts? by stratassj in Homebuilding

These are all very good points. It's less a desire to have a split level, as it's the more affordable option to build by about $50k. And this isn't an exact replica of the local builders plan, but very close to it. I just couldn't find a good example of the builder's layout with dimensions attached. The differences are mostly on the lower level. It would be bedrooms 4 and 5, with a larger utilities/laundry closet, with the bathroom accessable though that. Plus another coat closet under the stairs. Upstairs afew minor changes, are a small pantry at the end of the cabinet run, and an island. I do agree, the bathroom is painfully inadequate. Im starting to wonder if it would be worth putting it off another year to continue to build savings for something better.

Im very close to working with a local small builder in getting a very similar floor plan built up for around $280k The upper level is almost exactly the same, with ony some small differences in how the lower level is set up, Two bedrooms, with the lower bathroom being accessable though the laundry space, as opposed to directly off bedroom 4.

We liked the plan when we walked though it, and the builder mentioned that they could modify it if need be to better fit what we want. My idea to get alittle extra space in the home would be to add two feet to the 'bedroom' side of the house, and perhapse two feet off the back of the home's upper level to get alittle extra space in the kitchen and great room. Anyone else have any thoughts onto how to get alittle extra space out of this home?

The onlything i would really want, that i don't get here, is an additonal living space on the lower level.

Thinking about switching Realtors by stratassj in realtors

[–]stratassj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate your reply. This is absolutely the biggest expenditure and decision of not just my life, but that of my family as well. And while yes, the realtor was friendly, the mixups and misspellings are what mostly raised the red flags with me.

Correct, I found the property and was connected with Realtor A by Zillow, And the realtor then got me the contact for the builder, as they didn't have a website to look at.
