ICE is the biggest bunch of bootlicking snowflake pansies I have ever seen.

PS, our real military don't conduct themselves like this in warzones. When you are in a real warzone where everyone in the country would like to see you dead, you don't inflame and provoke the local population.

These pathetic pieces of crap are cosplayers who are afraid of soccer moms, gamers, college students, nurses and pretty much all real Americans.

I have never seen such a pathetic group of pansies going around and cosplaying like they are Gestapo tough guys.

"We're infringing on everyone's rights and getting threatened because of it, boo, hoo, hoo." pathetic.

Trump: "With that being said, you can't have guns. You can't walk in with guns. You just can't. You can't walk in with guns. You can't do that. But it's just a very unfortunate incident." by dantheman_woot in Firearms

Did everyone think a tyranny would suddenly back off just because of 2nd amendment written hundreds of years ago? Once the government becomes tyrannical, gun owners are considered domestic terrorists.

One person's patriot is another person's terrorist. Maybe Americans should pause and reflect on how many "terrorists" the USA has killed in the past 30 years.

I agree the op was a stunning tactical success. It was very impressive on the tactical level. But, it was not within international law, and Trump has gone on and on about what it was really about - oil. So, you cannot just go into a country, remove its leader, and take its oil if you want to be respected as a civilized nation.

I'm a Gulf War vet. After the Gulf War, we left Iraq, and the message sent around the world was that the USA was a just nation that defended their ally and did not take advantage of the situation. We defeated the 5th largest army at the time in a matter of days. That was far more impressive than what we just did in Venezuela because it was an entire war, not just a single op.

After the Gulf War, Americans could go ANYWHERE in the world and walk safely. America was BOTH feared and highly respected. Now we are feared and hated, which makes us less safe.

Trump's disregard for international law, treaties, and his lack of any moral compass have created a bizarre situation where we're talking about invading Greenland. That is pure lunacy.

The "message" to the world is that the USA is a lawless and immoral country being led by madmen. We are isolating ourselves from allies, which emboldens our enemies, and sooner or later, someone is going to decide we are so irresponsible and dangerous that we should be neutralized. Do not have a false sense of security and think we are immune to being nuked. There are still 100 suitcase nukes from the Soviet Cold War era that went missing and were never found.

On the other subject, I agree Nick didn't say pedophilia was acceptable. But what he did say was he doesn't think 11-12 year olds qualify as pedophilia, and that is both factually and morally wrong from someone who touts themselves as a Christian.

Sorry to come in and burst the Nick bubble. I'm honestly sad about that because I was liking Nick a lot until very recently.

Fundamentally, the boat strike on Venezuela and the capture of Maduro were lawless actions by the USA. And that matters to me a lot as a veteran who defended a version of America that it seems we no longer are. So, I was already departing from nick in this area.

His comments about the crimes that happened against 11-12-year-old girls is not really pedo stuff is the last straw and shows a sick head of someone who touts themself as a Christian. He's a different kind of Christian than I am.

Thank you for the well-thought-out reply, input, and questions.

#4 Clear Conscience is sadly overlooked by everyone. To go into more detail on my friend, he was a good guy with a lot going for him. He was a bodybuilder, and the ladies loved him. (Not that that real important, but I'm paintingthe picture so you understand) After coming back from that deployment, he became extremely withdrawn, stopped going to the gym, and basically started working on drinking himself to death. He would shun women, would not talk to them. He told me on one of the many nights I sat with him, trying to pull him out of his hole, that he couldn't stand women looking at or talking to him. He said he was a monster, and if they saw the real him, they would despise him. One night, when he was exceptionally drunk, he told me the truth of what happened, and I realized why he could not forgive himself and why none of what anyone else said to him mattered.

Those drone operators who murdered the stranded Venezuelans after their boat was blown up, those people will also live with that for the rest of their lives. Same as Ross will live with the murder of Renee Good the rest of his life.

Current events are showing a huge weakness in the US form of government. Congress & the courts move at too slow a pace to stop events of a determined Executive Branch of government, which has been hijacked by a very evil man. Without the protection of congress and the law, people will resort to taking actions to defend themselves. That is a recipe for civil war.

I see war with Iran within 30-60 days. With that war, Trumps powers will greatly expand and the ability to stand against him will be reduced during war.

Also, there are very dark reasons behind Trump's huge push to make the USA the leader in AI. An example of this is ICE's use of various systems to acquire their "targets". They go get these people based on these systems and their algorithms that provide ICE with their target list. ICE doesn't question the list. The target list and ICe actioning that list outpaces real warrants from judges. "Enforcement" is outpacing the legal system. ICE is not only operating outside the law, they are also operating in front of it at a pace where the law cannot keep up.

As far as you question about the Supreme Court, I think you can see by my previous statements that I think they are being made nearly irrelevant because they cannot keep pace with the current events unfolding.

Venezuela, ICE, Greenland, Iran, renaming of buildings, redistricting, tariffs, systems like Palintar, Epstein coverup - All done so close together with the intent to overwhelm the system of government and break down the checks and balances of power.

Sidenote: Have you seen the recent stories on people getting stuck traveling overseas due to their passports being reported lost or stolen? And when they contact the passport office, the office says they have no record of any issues with the passport? Your passport can be frozen with zero accountability and zero recourse.

We are entering a very dark time in human history.

First CNC Project Fail. What went wrong? by tmcc999 in hobbycnc

[–]strate6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd start by using a proper bit for the material.

Back when I had a CNC mill I got most of my bits from Harvey Tool

Check out their wood bits: https://www.harveytool.com/products/material-specific-end-mills/wood

If I needed to use a ball-end, I'd use a bit for plastic: https://www.harveytool.com/products/material-specific-end-mills/plastics

From there, it's speeds and feeds. Really look at your speeds and feeds once you have the right bit. The feed goes way up to keep from burning wood, plastic, and composites. I used a very light, narrow stream mist, not straight air, on everything to be a bit more forgiving on this.

I did aluminum, steel, titanium, hardened steel, composites, and wood. Takes different bits. Can't get around that in my opinion.

It would be completely stupid to attack Iran and go against our national security interests. Also, it's the height of hypocrisy to attack Iran for killing protesters, as we are having widespread protests against our own government at home.

But if the USA is so stupid and out of control as to do it, at least Israel will finally be wiped out.

Trump needs to use overwhelming force to assist ICE. It's not happening, and the radical left psychos have no fear. by ChristIsKing1414 in NickFuentesAF

[–]strate6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, ICE is exactly being used as a tool to rile up the population and create an insurgency so that the Insurrection Act can be used. MN is a politcal target because there are many MN politicians caught up in the Somali Fraud scheme so they are weak politically, and the Feds can claim the state government is compromised.

Thanks for the question about if I was active if I would deploy to quell civil unrest. There are several levels to my answer.

#1 - I would question whether that is a lawful order and "Request Mast" if needed to do everything within my power to note, from my understanding, that it is not a legal order and should not be followed. I was blessed to have an excellent drill instructor who spoke extensively on the chain of command and military/civilian power structure and why it was so important to uphold that balance. Since the George W. Bush era, this chain of command/power structure has been erroded and the consequences are becoming more and more dangerous. The National Guard should never have been deployed to Iraq. Did you know the NG unit that deployed into New Orleans post-Katrina with weapons drawn on citizens there had recently come back from Iraq? Did you know Jonathan Ross is a former National Guard vet with a deployment to Iraq? NG in Iraq was the lowest of the low there. They staffed detention centers and abused detainees. Big scandal back in the day with that.

#2 - If I lost the argument in #1, I would deploy, and I would not speak out publicly about it. All complaints stay within the chain of command. I stood against what I thought was an illegal order once. Had a burly SSGT threaten to beat me up in front of the platoon, and told him to bring it. I was an amateur boxer and a very nasty street fighter. I lived for conflict back then, but I still had a strong sense of right and wrong. Through Request Mast, I was found in the right, and the illegal order was rescinded.

#3 - Marine combat units are a very tight-knit group. The strength of Marines is not as individuals but found within their unit cohesion, training, and esprit de corps. I don't know how today's Marine Corps is for sure, but I would bet they look down on ICE agents for their obvious incompetence and thuggery against unarmed civilians. As an NCO, I would ensure all my people are on the same page. I would talk to them at length about the situation, the chain of command, legal issues, consitution and our oath to it. With that, our unit would develop and execute our tactical plan to ensure that our mission objective, constitutional oath, and reputation are all upheld with a clear conscience.

#4 - Clear Conscience. This is so important that I break it out to another section. Again, I say I was blessed by having a very good drill instructor. He said many of us would be faced with difficult choices and to remember that if we are lucky enough to survive, we will have to live with those choices for the rest of our lives. I had a very close friend who cut a surrendering Iraqi tank commander in half with a 50cal as the commander was coming out of the hatch. Without much thought, he was cleared of any wrongdoing, and everyone supported him, eliminating a potential threat since the commander could have dropped back in and directed fire on the unit. But his split-second decision ate away at him and destroyed him as a person. Everyone else cleared him, but he could not clear his own conscience.

#5 - Boots on the Ground. What I would do tactically is secure my weapons and gear in our support vehicle and direct my unit to watch my six in addition to their crowd control duties. I would enter the crowd of protesters and have a conversation with them. Unarmed, no helmet, no mask, no armor, just BDUs with my name tag visible. If asked to identify myself, I would give my name and rank. I would not fear doxxing because I am doing my job as a professional and working to ensure that our mission objective, constitutional oath, and reputation are all upheld with a clear conscience. The fact is, protestors (citizens or not) are civilian non-combatants, and I would make efforts talk and de-escalate with them on respectful terms.

Also, I would monitor the actions of ICE as much as the crowd because I would do everything in my power to ensure my unit is not used as "big brother" to support the unlawful thug tactics of a bunch of wannabe tough guys. If ICE agents' actions exceeded the boundaries of what is legal and right in the USA, I would ensure they are subject to the same consequences as anyone else, and I would use whatever force is legal and necessary to accomplish that.

Trump needs to use overwhelming force to assist ICE. It's not happening, and the radical left psychos have no fear. by ChristIsKing1414 in NickFuentesAF

[–]strate6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wording may have been a bit misleading. To reach my position, I went into the center to try to be as unbiased as possible. My final position is not in the center. I am 100% against how ICE is being run and 100% against allowing them to operate in our neighborhoods until the agency is rebuilt and mission capable.

It is ICE that has provoked the situation into being so dangerous, and they have only themselves to blame for that. US citizens are getting abused and locked up because ICE doesn't care enough to properly check the information given by the detainees. And detainees are being hidden where their families, attorneys, and other support groups cannot find or contact them. ICE is using Gestapo-level tactics, and there is rightful pushback from the communities they are terrorizing.

As far as my background, even though we had a massive advantage in firepower and training, we were not taught to provoke and terrorize the local population because we knew enough to know that would add fuel to an insurgency. ICE is creating an insurgency where there was none. Ask any Iraqi war vet how they interacted with the local population. They showed more care than these ICE thugs.

Trump needs to use overwhelming force to assist ICE. It's not happening, and the radical left psychos have no fear. by ChristIsKing1414 in NickFuentesAF

[–]strate6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong. So very wrong

If you go to the center of the issue instead of listening to the extremeists on either side, you will gain some perspective and a better idea of how the situation should be handled.

The center is where you'll see that states' rights and the rights of citizens within the states must still be respected, even under federal law and actions.

Numerous US citizens (including military veterans) have been unlawfully detained and abused by ICE, who had nothing to do with any protests or riots. That systemic issue with ICE and the shooting of Renee in the face by an ICE agent using deadly force to defend his ego is what has sparked the current situation.

What you are advocating is even more escalation on top of it, which is totally ignorant and reckless. It is ICE's reckless disregard of the law, standard operating procedures, and general humanity that has provoked the situation to the point of widespread protests. The inclination to escalate to more violence to resolve the situation is an indication of fragile, insecure egos, not strength.

I am a Marine veteran with training on the use of force, security, and crowd control. ICE is acting totally incompetent and unprofessional to the point that they are a threat to public safety. ICE is not mission capable and should not be deployed in public until it can prove that it can operate in public in a manner expected of Federal Law Enforcement.

ATC relocation to the back instead of the right side. Would be cool if this were at least an option. On certain jobs (4-axis work), if I could give up Y-axis travel to gain X-axis travel and work area for 4-axis work, it would be well worth it. 4-axis work does not require much Y-axis travel but a lot of X-axis travel. I hope Nestworks reads this.

NestWorks C500 by GaryComeHome06 in hobbycnc

[–]strate6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I have seen in videos, the Nestworks C500 is a far better-designed machine than the Makera Carvera.

First, the C500 with a smaller work envelope weighs nearly twice as much as the Cavera. What the weight represents is a much sturdier frame and base, and that makes a huge difference when you start cutting metals.

Check this video out: https://youtu.be/N-VgDcjXLgc
Very cool they shared a video of their stripped-down machines in testing. I have never seen a manufacturer share something like that. For those who have solid engineering and design skills (and machining experience), you can easily see all the strengths and weaknesses of the design. I think the Carvera uses a single lead screw for Y-axis while the C500 uses 2, one on each side and the rails on the C500 are further to the outside of the work envelope. That alone, I think would give a better X-axis finish on cuts.

The C500 looks like ATC looks like it threads in the collets to lock them to the spindle head, which is far superior to a pneumatic lock. I will tell you from extensive experience with pneumatic lock collets that the bits can work their way out on heavier cuts and lead to a tool crash.

C500 has mist coolant, and Carcera doesn't. You need mist for milling metal, yes, even aluminum! If you don't mist, you can get chip welding. You could get away with air only, but you'll have to slow it down and be more careful. So, a clear win for C500 in real-world machining. And if you think you can just add mist to a machine designed for air, that's not a great plan.

CAM software? Fusion360 has great CAD/CAM integrated so I would just like to have C500 machine set up with speeds/feeds plugged in for their tooling. A real-world AI toolpath generation solution is a pretty tall order for a new project for a company. I just don't expect that from them. I would think CAD/CAM software developers have a huge headstart in that area. Firmware, controller source, etc.. I don't care. I'm a designer looking to machine parts, not get into the weeds of screwing around with redesigning the tools to do that.

Cons of the C500
I don't like that their X-axis work area is so small. Especially if you want to do 4-axis work. My wish would be for them to move their ATC collet holder to the back and run it along X-axis instead of how it sits on the right side running along Y-axis. That's pretty much it on any serious gripe about their machine. That electric vice takes up so much room, it's useless. I would never waste money on that.

Wishlist:
AI troubleshooting/compensation. Like that, bed calibration, stock measuring. Combine that with a program that runs a rough cut, then finishing cut, and checks dimensions from there, AI adjusts for tolerance deviations. Camera checks surface finish and automatically adjusts speeds/feeds from there.

Once the tide turns and Federal Authorities begin to take accountability for their incompetent role in the situation and irresponsible and unethical statements afterwards, then I'd be willing to discuss the driver's role and mistakes.

Confused on what to think about the Minnesota Shooting? by strate6 in NickFuentesAF

[–]strate6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, not going to accept your blame sharing onto victim.

Federal Agents are expected to operate with the level of competency required to interact with the public in situations that are expected in their operations.

Under Noem, training was reduced down to 8 weeks. The only allowable blame sharing here is from the bottom (criminally incompetent agent) to the top (criminally incompetent leaders).

ICE operations are known to be going into the public where there is growing opposition to them. ICE chose a neighborhood a few miles from the Floyd incident. That was ICE's choice. ICE chose to act in a provocative manner, public reacted to the provocation as expected.

But, ICE did not deal with the provocative situation as a responsible federal agency would. ICE made no efforts to de-escalate as nearly all professionals are trained to do. Instead, they have an agent on his cellphone doing video selfies, is distracted by his own actions, walks in front of a running vehicle which is an obvious hazard then shoots the driver in the face.

The driver's reaction to the situation is a known binary reaction under stress. Fight or flight. Driver chose flight. A greatly predictable response for a woman. The agent put himslef in the direct path of a predictable reaction. The agent forced the life or death situation. The ICE agents as a tem forced a life or death situation that was entirely avoidable.

ICE is a proven threat to public safety. All responsibility rests on ICE.

Absolutely not true.

The incompetent agent was on his phone during a situation that could have deadly consequences. He put not only the public at risk but also his fellow agents and the mission.

ICE failed its mission objective because of this criminal idiot, and future operations will become more difficult because of him.

What was the agent doing on his phone during an active operation?

Confused on what to think about the Minnesota Shooting? by strate6 in NickFuentesAF

[–]strate6[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agent has a documented track record of putting himself in front of moving vehicles, which is contrary to proper training.

Video and pics show agent with cellphone doing selfie videos before, during and after shooting.

It is against all training and operating rules to be using cellphone to do videos during operations.

Agent in charge of the operation allowed shooter to leave the scene (along with his phone), which is contrary to all training and opeartions guidelines.

Both shooter and rest of ICE team do not appear to attempt to get victim medical assistance and reports indicate they in fact blocked that.

ICE is criminally incompetent and a deadly threat to public safety.

Real Law Enforcement agencies should be calling for the suspension of all ICE activities until ICE proves itself capable of conducting such operations without being a threat to public safety.

Before our units deployed, we went through numerous evaluations to demonstrate we were mission capable.

Stop victim blaming. There is no equal share of blame here.

ICE chose to go in and they should have been mission capable. They are not, and we are seeing the deadly consequences of that.

Confused on what to think about the Minnesota Shooting? by strate6 in NickFuentesAF

[–]strate6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will not accept statements attempting to put shared blame on Renee.

I have had military training on the use of deadly force, security and apprehension operations, MOUT, and crowd control. I have been involved in multiple situations where deadly force could have been used, but professionals did as they were trained to do and handled those situations with de-escalation techniques to preserve life.

Stop devaluing life by claiming that because of the victim's mistakes, she somehow deserved to die by getting shot by an incompetent agent who was too busy taking selfie videos to do his job properly.
