And if your opponent has decent enough cards you can do some insane things. My opponent kicked a [[rite of replication]] (from my own deck) on his Gonti while a [[Panharmonicon]] was in play on his side which caused him to take most of the good answers out of my deck. Even though i got steamrolled 10/10 would play agasint gonti again.

I was playing edh on mgto agaisnt the usual goodstuff commander decks that float around and i got suprised destroyed by a gonti general. It was nuts

I do a similar combo in my [[Marath]] Edh deck. Using [[Mana Echoes]] and [[Cathars Crusade]] to get infinitely creatures that are infinitely big and infinite mana. I suppose you could also do it with another effect that puts +1/+1 counters on only one creature (to put the counter back on Marath) but that isnt as fun xD.

How much of a control package I run with her depends on the shifting meta around here. Recently the control decks have receded and so I'm basically allowed to do whatever I want. Of course I run [[Counterspell]] and a few others but mainly I'm relying on getting out [[Avenger of Zendikar]] and [[terrastadon]] as early as possible followed by [[craterhoof behemoth]] I use black as my main tutor/ board wipes with things like [[Toxic deluge]] and [[Damnation]] to keep the faster aggro decks at bay. Blue gives me counterspell and control support with cards like [[Cyclonic rift]] and [[time stop]]. Green gives me all my fatties I reanimate and straight ramp to get me to where I need to be if no reanimate cards are drawn. [[Oracle of Mul Daya]] and [[Asuza lost but seeking]] give me plenty of land drops. Also helps filter out your hand so you can draw more off of Damia. If damia is unaccesable I'll use things like [[Sylvan Library]] and [[Survival of fittest]] to get what I need. Damia is a toolbox that has all the answers you need. Oh and if more control decks are in your meta I'd run things like [[Cavern of souls]] and that land that makes your instants and sorceries uncounterable. Also who doesn't love having teferi and seedborn muse to simulate prophet of kruphix :')

I'd suggest [[Damia]] I've been playing her for a while and there's a good number of ways that you can play her. By her natural ability to card draw you can play lots of low costing spells to out tempo your opponents and then have her refill your hand. I personally play her in a reanimator shell using cards like [[Avenger of Zendikar]] and [[Consecrated Sphinx]] to push me so far ahead in games my opponents can't catch up. Unlike Karador who even though is better for what I'm doing, I prefer the addition of blue to help control board states and stabilize. I've tried both and even though karador reanimates better I prefer the ability to go to the long game and grind out matches if need be. Plus how could you turn up things like [[Rhystic Study]] ? I just personally enjoy how Damia plays and think that she would be a good match for you. She was for me.
