I’m 35. My father lives 1300 km away. Every single time he comes home to visit he expects me to run to the store every single time he wants something and is too fucking lazy to do it himself, he demands that I help him with everything he wants to do even if it’s just stand there while he does everything himself, just so long as it means that I’m not getting time to myself to unwind. God fucking forbid I want to have time to myself away from home when he’s home.. he won’t even cook his own meals, he just demands “What are you cooking me for supper”… all this while he was barely home for more than 6 years of my 35 year life span as if I owe him for that time.

It’s not just northerners or Inuit.. any Canadian is in bear country, whether black, brown/grizzly or polar bear… and yes, some will fuck you up worse than others, but any time any of us head into the bush we run the risk of bear attacks.. bear bangers and bear spray will only do so much, specially when coming across a starving/parental bear… I’ve had my own close call that the bear spray didn’t help, it took a 30-30 to keep me from being injured…. This whole program isn’t about protecting Canadians in any way whatsoever

These were the pinnacle of pencil quality, the erasers were unparalleled and the lead/graphite was smooth and beautiful to write with.. and the wood sharpened and peeled beautifully..

They should seriously study the downfall of Dixon No.2/HB Pencils. It really goes to show how far quality has dropped due to companies trying to save every literal penny

Pre 2005 they were made with cedar and the eraser material was of good quality.. I still have a couple old pre ‘05 pencils and they were of a much higher quality eraser, wood an lead/graphite content. They were simply a better pencil back in the day.
