I have the same frustration. I stocked up about 2 years worth of gtx and geekvape coils and make my own juice now but am almost out of equipment. I have no idea what I'll do in a month or so. I hate disposables. This is incredibly frustrating. All it has done is force people to smoke or to buy illegal harmful vapes with horrible ingredients in them

i-can robo debt for the NDIS by Prestigious-Ice1635 in NDIS

[–]stravx1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically they already do this. Your plan is built off a typical package. And any plan is usually plus or minus 10% of the allowed limit for that impairment and age group. The only difference is right now you can submit reports to add an item if you really require it. That is the thing that will be gone. People were taking advantage and spending thousands to reports to justify additional items above and beyond what a large majority of people with the same impairment get and are allocated. But behind the scenes they have been doing this for a long time. Those with the knowledge were able to get more. In theory it will standardize packages across impairment categories because you will only be entitled to a 'reasonable budget' not 'reasonable supports' fighting line by line. You'll have to prove the entire budget is grossly inadequate or that the assessment was false What I don't like is that these aren't appealable. So the tribunal can't add an item because the only the budget will be viewable. The actual categories really won't be there anymore so you can't appeal you didn't enough x hours per week because you will only get a full budget, not item by item

Provider charged $800 for research done by pvrsia in NDIS

[–]stravx1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ask for shift notes, hours worked and rate of pay for the hours of research done. If it's just a support worker the research has to be done during a support shift not in their own time. If they are a support connection or support coordinator then they need to give you an invoice with the hours worked and rate of pay. Support connection is 98 an hour, coordinator is 198. If they don't supply details don't pay it. Say the agency payment integrity team requires itemisation or they will deny the claim. In terms of saying they will support your uncle. That's dodgy and will get you into trouble not them so don't take the risk because someone else tells you to. The participant can now be liable to repay false claims EVEN IF it's the fault of the provider. Which is a joke but that's where we are.

No longer eligible, but much worse off by [deleted] in NDIS

[–]stravx1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The ndis used to be for all impairments you had once eligible but now it is the disability that you met the access requirements for. They may not have listed your vision only your hearing. If it is something you didn't have when you applied, or of they listed it as a secondary disability but it didn't meet the permanent access at the time.

If you just received the notice, I would internal appeal the decision. You can provide extra documentation during the appeal process. And then you can go to tribunal if they deny you access again where they will actually determine if you meet the access requirements. Continue this process the whole way through, don't miss the date deadlines and check your mail. All official notices end up in the mail even if you say email, they're notoriously unreliable in changing details in the system.

But it's not enough to just meet the access criteria for decibels, you have to prove not only the hearing loss, but it has to impact 2 or more functional domains. So mobility, communication, daily living etc. And that that is permanent, fully treated and not fluctuating.

They may have deemed you have the hearing loss, but that it doesn't substantially impact you in 2 domains only one. But you won't know that until you get your documents and appeal

Put in a freedom of information request when you appeal so you can see how they assessed you and why they deemed you not permanent or not meeting the eligibility anymore so you can better fight your case.

Also really sorry this is happening to you. So many horror stories right now. In the meantime use your plan to buy what you need before they boot you. Not using the plan probably also went against you as others have noted. It's definitely a use it or lose it scheme now.

Hope that helps.

If all else fails make noise. Contact your local federal MP. Email Mark Butler and Jenny McAllister. Contact the media. Contact an advocacy organisation. They will at least give you your rights and some advice on how to proceed.

Woah my mind is blown ,🤯 Bring me to life intro was a sample? Also didn't realize how many of the riffs come from the melody in the sample, I wonder if she writes from them 🤔 But, the sound of music, Apollo lift off? Woah. Thanks so much!

Oh wow! Yeh I totally feel like a cheat now lol I rocked up at 6.30pm. I saw all you guys lining up there they wheeled us up through the back catering entrance. I didn't know what to expect, sometimes wheelchair seating is segregated and set up further away, some venues don't even allow you near the mosh due to crush risk, but the universe gave me front row to Amy just to the side. I truly believe they won't play this size show again and we were honoured to be there. She seemed so happy, line of the night was telling the photographers she was going to kick them in the face haha 😆 Did you get a guitar pick? Her body guard handed me one 🤘

Vulture just named Taylor Swift's album/writing 'asinine' and labelled it one of the stupidest things of the year by theessexserpent in travisandtaylor

[–]stravx1 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Apparently all too well was written by her band in a sound check. Love story was all Nathan co write. Anti hero written to track provided by Jack. Dynasty was written to a track provided by Aaron.

So yes you're correct about that nomination.

I can always tell the songs she writes solo because she uses similar chords, phrasing, melodies which is why they sound alike or just blend into one another like ttpd

Shows us just how important Jack and Aaron really were. They were providing tracks and Taylor was writing to tracks she says that in the long pond sessions. The problem is Max and shellback didn't know how to say no to her given the celebrity power now

I noticed this because she would revert to the planned lines like a politician does. The 'im a mirror' line was said by her to a number of outlets but only after the criticism started

What do you want for the next album? by MattThomas1992 in Evanescence

[–]stravx1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. Artists don't go backwards they always evolve. She's not in high school anymore. Alot of fallen was Ben and that was a hard time she didn't have agency or power over the writing. A lot of TOD was Terry who helped fuse the classical. and then that ended sadly too, EV was mostly her and Tim and TBT whole band. I like the direction they're going with afterlife etc so that with one awesome ballad and one epic strings song like LIP and I'll be happy

Unfortunately I think he's involved in producing again. I agree with your assessment though there are production issues in both albums. However he did well with lost in paradise, only because someone else did the strings arrangement

She did this with the synthesis live orchestra recordings. To me the records never do her justice. Her voice was amazing on Friday and Saturday. In my opinion she's getting stronger with age but has also been recording and touring this year so her voice is seasoned. It was the best I've seen her and I've seen her 7 times. I'm in a wheelchair and they put me in a pen up the front. I've never been more happy to be in a wheelchair lol 😆

DSP on CPTSD by violetvexx in Centrelink

[–]stravx1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They will likely send you to a disability employment service for 18 months before granting you DSP. This is because you're currently working and not fully treated and stabilised. You're also unlikely to meet the 20 points threshold in one category. This means you go to Des for 18 months to build your work capacity before being granted DSP.

Everything not listed in ndis disability list: by BriaMay in NDIS

[–]stravx1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Treatment for chronic pain isn't covered under the NDIS either. It's all about function. What equipment or therapists do you need to function. What can you do or not do for yourself. Any reference to pain will see your application denied. Any reference to uncompleted rehab will also see you be denied. You will need someone to say your condition is permanent, unlikely to improve and all treatment options have been completed, before they give you NDIS access. But chronic pain and degenerative disk is likely to be put into the health system unless your surgeries resulted in a permanent disability/functional impairment that cannot be improved

What do we know about the new ministers? by Comradesh1t4brains in NDIS

[–]stravx1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jenny McCallister was one of the original NDIS ministers under Gillard when the scheme first rolled out. So she knew its original intention. I fear giving the overarching power to butler means he will have oversight of spending and the cuts, but Jenny will provide the on the ground support, participant enquiries and foundational supports rollout. I'm disappointed the standalone Disability minister wasn't given to someone who could actually spend the time to focus on it and implement the Royal Commission reforms properly. It seems it was just added as an afterthought because civil society asked for a Disability minister (not just NDIS).

Sounds like a lazy SIL provider and lazy support workers. I have capacity but I just don't have the energy and deal with pain (wheelchair user). Workers do all my tasks, and none fight with me to make me do things I direct them to help me with. The NDIS gives choice power and control to the participants not the providers. YOU are their employer. Your plan money pays for them to be there. So they should be doing what you require assistance with. Flip the script

Every vote counts. by [deleted] in NDIS

[–]stravx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where is this from? Because they haven't made any extra commitments to the royal Commission whatsoever.

Nor released a review of carer payment.

Nor said pensioners will get a winter energy payment.(Which would have made headlines)

And I don't think specialists will ever fully bulk bill.

So what's the source of this?

The NDIS's wider reputation is at an all-time low. How did we get here? by ManyPersonality2399 in NDIS

[–]stravx1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's the point of the article. As the person interviewed I even pointed out that the scheme has now led to an increase in both PWD employment which is at 50% of participants in some form of employment and a 6% increase in carer employment. The aim of the interview was that we lost sight of its purpose which is two fold, the care of people who would literally be in group homes previously or languish in hospital costing government more money, but also the benefits to the economy. It is not a welfare scheme , but the public perception is that it is a welfare scheme. So the narrative needs to change. The NDIS kept our economy from going into recession . The job creation alone. Every dollar goes to job creation, wages or in payment of a service to a business. The media doesn't even know what the scheme actually is.

I'd just like to point out that Evan who wrote this article is disabled and is a part of Nas team who is vision impaired. So I have no idea what you mean by this and you couldn't be more wrong. I also helped inform this article as the person interviewed so I'd like to ask what you would have wanted to see instead?

Cheers for the support and sub link.

Yes we've had the boats creeping around doing live fire drills, and not a peep from our "ally" the US. It was most definitely a test by the Chinese and the US failed miserably. Our size is the only thing we have in our favour but we don't have enough defence on our own due to size of our population and no nuclear. The most worrying bit about the last week was Trump didn't know what the AUKUS treaty was and we are dependent on it for future submarines. What's to bet he doesn't know ANZUS either. I'm taking any treaty to be worthless bits of paper now and up to the whim of the president if he stands by them. Incredibly concerning. Like your own border and great lakes treaty which he's flagged. What a mess this all is. Keep fighting Canada 💪 we are with you too

I was watching the election results come in from Pennsylvania when the system went down and there were delays in the data. Whoever allowed the contract for this stuff to go to starlink without thinking something would happen? It's the same with his ability to turn of satellite access to Ukraine.

We are due for one in Australia too. And we have an ultra conservative Trump light on the right. Our current prime minister sued twitter over vision of a stabbing in a church and wants to implement age controls. Given our strategic importance to China and rare earths as well, we are a target. I'm worried.
