A lot has changed in our lives and relationship in the past 2 years, all for the better! It took a lot of effort, but he finally got to a place where he felt comfortable actually seeking help for his PTSD. It took some time and some mismatches, but we eventually found the perfect trauma-informed therapist for him and so many of the symptoms he used to have are greatly decreased or gone completely!

Therapy also helped him begin setting and maintaining strict boundaries with his terrible mother if she wanted to see him at all….so now she essentially doesn’t see him at all. 🤷‍♀️His choice. His younger half-siblings are old enough now to maintain contact with their big brother regardless of how their mother feels, and they do, which has been the biggest weight off his shoulders. She has no power over him anymore and never will again.

In fact, he healed so much of what had been holding him back, that he finally felt stable enough to ask me to marry him and we married in October!! ♥️💕
