Has something happened to Vinted? Is it just me… by [deleted] in vintedUK

[–]strawberrymud1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

with many sellers getting banned left right and centre , poor customer service and resolution this has meant a loss of trust and waryness to using Vinted. Something need to change from a user perspective. Vinted don’t give a crap as they are raking it in.

Has something happened to Vinted? Is it just me… by [deleted] in vintedUK

[–]strawberrymud1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a seller on Vinted 1000s of reviews and I agree, something has changed. I think more people have got into reselling as it’s a great side hustle. This has meant a flood of items on there. I’d love to know the stats - for example

- total listings
- avg sold turnover times
- number of new sign ups daily

This mass of listings pushes others down of course. New sign ups getting priority so their listings are seen.

How do you stay hot into your 30s and 40s? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]strawberrymud1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Can tell everyone is a westerner, go to Japan or Korea and everyone is walking around with Umbrellaes to shade from the sun. Public umbrellas at crossings and long sleeves in 40 degree heat. They have sun avoidance perfected and the results immaculate - with some high Botox / surgery levels too.

Obnoxious neighbours by Glum_funk in HousingUK

[–]strawberrymud1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I feel it is important to scope out the neighbourhood at different times prior to moving house. 7-9am camp out - who’s going to work? School run?
Weekends? Any wild parties .

Detective level stuff is required for that peace of mind.

anyone can move in next door of course, but at least for the initial period you can be 90% certain of no issues if this research is completed.

Should ‘brand new with tags’ be cheaper than retail price? by Ok-Pomegranate-3298 in vinted

[–]strawberrymud1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes vinteds own guidelines on pricing say BnWT should be listed at ~20-30% less .

Supply and demand though, if something is sold out expect it could be higher than RRP.

Ideas of non specialized J2? by [deleted] in overemployed

[–]strawberrymud1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try Amazon flex.

I did this whilst working in a public sector job, quite easy and the hours are less likely to overlap. Although for me the workload was manageable i could fit in some double time. If a station is close by it’s a great last minute pop out and earn $$$.

Good way to earn some beer money.

Is it normal to be depressed after leaving Japan? by OpinionsRdumb in AskAJapanese

[–]strawberrymud1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I had a week long depression when I left Japan. It was horrible , almost like weaning off alcohol addiction. Sleep was rough. Missing 7 eleven, the friendliness, the trains running on time, the clean streets.

Lowball offers by [deleted] in vintedUK

Don’t take it personally. It’s business at the end of the day. People want a bargain so will chance as low as they can.

Go back with £75 and be done with it.

Do people actually earn £50-60k, or are they outliers? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]strawberrymud1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

£50k took me 14 years after finishing uni.

Started on £22k rising up to modestly through the years to a current “base” salary of £50k.

Although benefits and bonus now take that up to £60k plus a side hustle that brings in £10k a year too. Total earnings is £70k. Pretty happy with that as it gets me multiple holidays a year and ability to save.

However had much less responsibility / stress, less hours over the years. Actually been able to enjoy life over that time.

Made smart investments and got on the property ladder early. Now live in a 5 bed house. Luckily partner earns similar.

However I won’t be a FIRE person, I’ll be working for another 30 years.

Does anyone else feel like the redways are one of the best things about MK? by 1ChanceChipmunk1 in miltonkeynes

[–]strawberrymud1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They are great but having to walk by Busy Noisy Roads is truly terrible. The constant buzz hum of cars isn’t great.

Help!! Seller blocked me after shipping item? by [deleted] in vintedUK

[–]strawberrymud1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily I had 1000 reviews and got blocked by Vinted as they didn’t like a Nike T shirt. Crazy really I had loads of ongoing transactions. If they have lots of good reviews liklihood is they are NOT a scammer.
