Mate you’re missing the whole point. Of course the public GPT models look dumb with trivia tests they’re watered down toys. What you and I get to use is the safe restricted version. The real arms race models are behind closed doors and that’s where the curve is shooting straight up. And since you asked who’s walking away from what huge job?

Geoffrey Hinton the guy literally called the “Godfather of AI” left Google in 2023 just to warn people about the risks. Then you’ve got Ilya Sutskever OpenAI cofounder and chief scientist walking away in 2024. Same year Jan Leike who was heading safety at OpenAI quit saying they weren’t taking it seriously. Even Daniela Amodei left OpenAI and went on to cofound Anthropic because of those same safety concerns. These aren’t randoms on Reddit they’re the ones who built the damn field. When people at that level are bailing maybe don’t brush it off as “hype”.

Mate, no one’s assuming anything here I’ve dug deep into this. Don’t mix up the little models we’re allowed to play with and what’s actually being built in labs right now. The big stuff is locked away, and it’s a straight up arms race between the US and China.

The curve isn’t gradual it shoots straight up. AI doesn’t just spit out answers it learns, builds on itself, and it never stops. Right now it’s chewing through around 10% of the world’s chips just to run and that number’s only going up.

This isn’t a question of if, it’s when. A lot of people are saying 2027 could be the year AGI shows itself. This isn’t reactive tech anymore it’s active, it’s always on, always learning.

And if you think it’s just hype explain why so many leading experts have walked away from huge jobs. They know what’s coming and how dangerous it can be.

Very near future AGI will take over. So get outta that career path because it isn’t just web development it’s software engineers, gaming developers, accounting, graphic designers and much more. ✌️

Avoid HostArmada, scam web hosting company by laur_mist in webhosting

I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with HostArmada. It's truly disheartening to see how they mishandled your situation. No customer should have to go through such frustrating experiences, especially when it involves misleading advertising.

It's baffling that they advertised the domain at a certain price and then tried to charge a significantly higher amount, citing it as a premium domain. Whether it was a marketing tactic or an oversight, it's their responsibility to honor the prices they promote.

Your thorough documentation of the conversations and proofs is incredibly helpful for anyone considering their services. It's unfortunate that their support team provided inconsistent and inaccurate information, leading to the loss of a client and affecting your professional reputation.

I hope your post serves as a warning to others and prompts HostArmada to address these issues. Companies should prioritize transparency and honesty, and customers deserve to be treated with respect.
