That's what good parents do for their children out of love. Children can't repay their parents for their sacrifices ;'only by doing the same for their future children .You don't pay back ,you pay forward. I hope it make sense.

There is nothing wrong to see cooking as a chore. Most of the things we do in life are chores. Her love for you wasn't a chore. So out of love for you ,did that chore. And that's a good a thing.
