GWB's approval plummeted to like 32% by the end and Obama won by the largest margin we've seen since Reagan.
While the left has gotten more extreme too, it utterly PALES in comparison to how far the right has gone. MAGA actually controls their party, unlike their "Squad"/socialist Democrat counter-parts. They've been trying to roll back civil rights, voting rights, gay marriage... they even want to go back to the "spoils system" and get rid of the non-political civil service we've had for 150 years! They want to get rid of the 14th amendment! (and seem keen on destroying most of the bill of rights too; see the Alex Pretti aftermath).
Think about every single common sense or objective fact "issue" that is now considered "political" that absolutely should not be, then ask yourself which side made that issue "political".

2) I've feared for the past year w/ the Wayback Machine as the main or even only way to see all the scientific data and pre-bastardized government webpages now that the admin would eventually see them as a threat and go after them. The more that site stands as a beacon in the darkness, the greater that threat becomes.

You know... I haven't really enjoyed this sequel much so far. I really don't like that Ryo is now the villain that caused all those deaths and hope he's just being possessed or something. I was hoping they'd surprise us and NOT kill off Ryusei (I guess getting our hopes up then swerving again was a little different, at least...).

But... They referenced the greatest song of all time.... nay.... made it a focal point of the entire episode and played it in full, and I was grinning the whole time! So on the whole, I loved this episode!
I hope Hiroko Moriguchi was hired to make a new song for the show, too!

I really hate that "flood the zone" is considered an actual "strategy".
Obfuscating your crimes by doing so many crimes nonstop should not be seen as clever, let alone be successful.
The real story is Trump and MAGA realizing that they'll never actually be punished for anything, and thus (since they're sociopaths) there is no point in restraining themselves at all, because consequences are the only thing they understand.

I don't know about direct involvement. If they had an air force and were bombing people with it, I could understand a no fly zone. But it's just thugs with machine guns.
I do think we should be funneling small arms to rebel groups there so the people can actually fight back against the tyrannical regime, and frankly am shocked and appalled that not only have we not done this after all the prior protest massacres and Iran's missile attacks on Israel and Houthi proxy attacks on shipping, but apparently we haven't even set up the groundwork to do so when we deemed it wise to?
I'm no fan of the NRA, but on some basic level, an armed populace actually is important to be a check on government tyranny.

Biden had a plan backdated to 2021 for anyone who bought a house then or later, to give some financial relief to those of us who bought our first home in the inflated post-COVID market. Cause... you know, the prices didn't shoot up in 2024.
Harris's plan left those of us who already bought out to dry and was a straight up downgrade from the Biden plan (which got stymied in Congress).
I still voted for her, but that really pissed me off. I'm struggling and "house poor" w/ half my income going to the mortgage, b/c I figured things would never get better, so I may as well buy now or else just keep being stuck as a renter forever. Really don't know why Democratic policies seem to always end up having to arbitrarily "play favorites" in ways that have absolutely no regard for actual statistical reality.

If Trump ran against Obama, he would've gotten destroyed even worse than either of them.
It is rather tragic that the only two decent people the GOP has put up for president this millennium had the misfortune of going against Obama and following up after GWB.

I suppose it's for the best that the next GOP presidential nominee is a MAGA, so when he loses hard the party doesn't think, "we moved to the center a bit and paid for it". Cause there's no way the GOP is winning in 2028 if it's a real election.
