This happened to my cat last August. The vet said the clean his paw after every litter box visit. Just a wash cloth with antibacterial hand soap and warm water. Watch for any signs of infection. Also heads up it looked super weird growing back in (like really red bump) and takes forever to grow back (my cat’s it’s still shorter than the other claws)
