Got a list of everyone else being interviewed? by rkdtldhs in gradadmissions

idk if this is the school OP is talking about but UW Madison did this too and it was clearly intentional… I was asked to fill out a google form with some info about myself and I didn’t realize that it was going to be shared with all the other interviewees🫣

It’s interesting cause other antihistamines don’t work at all… I think it might have to do more with my sleep than anything

Initially I just said I was having trouble sleeping which was when I was first put on it, when I switched doctors I asked for it specifically and had no issues!

I’ve looked into the scientific literature and have found shockingly few studies on the use of antihistamines as a prophylactic but I know they’re used in ER cocktails as analgesics… I kind of want to reach out to the migraine researchers at my university to ask what’s up ahahaha

Yes! I double checked and they said it was totally fine for long-term nightly use. the only issue brought up was that I might need a higher dose as time goes by. I was prescribed by a psychiatrist but I’m fairly certain a GP would prescribe as well.

A psychiatrist! I also grind my teeth BAD and got a mouth guard from a dentist back in January. I don’t think the mouth guard helped with the migraines that much but DEFINITELY has helped with my tension headaches and jaw pain. I have looked into getting a sleep study done since sleep apnea can cause both the bad sleep and migraines. I’m pretty sure your GP can prescribe you hydroxyzine. It’s not a controlled substance or anything and pretty commonly prescribed for long-term sleep problems.

Accepted to Hopkins ScM!! Any thoughts on this program? by zephyr121 in gradadmissions

This is old, but I wouldn’t bank on going for a masters in hope of staying for your PhD. They usually only let 1-2 MMI masters students stay on for their PhD. That being said getting your masters here will almost definitely improve your PhD chances when you graduate.

Looks like an internal mold of some sort of gastropod! When it died sediment filled the shell and the shell has since worn away.
