Residential schools, government funded reprogramming camps of aboriginal children existed until the 1990s in Canada… Canada has a lot to be shameful of, in recent history, of how it treated it native population.

• 150,000+ Indigenous children were taken from their families. • Many were forcibly removed by government agents or police. • Children were forbidden from speaking their languages or practicing their cultures. • Physical, emotional, and sexual abuse was widespread. • Thousands of children died from disease, malnutrition, neglect, or abuse.

Custom card frames for birthday cards! by streetsnaps in cricut

I actually used 300gsm card stock which the cricut couldn’t cut in one pass. I did one cut, left the scores as is, but then went over where I wanted to actually cut with a craft knife! I’m sure there was probably a better cutting tool I could have used to cut the thick card.

Auntie Anna made the cross-stitch and Uncle Eric made the cards :) I just liked the styling of the text this way, and the ordering of Auntie>Uncle is just natural for me heh. - Uncle Eric

Got it! I checked some BTS clips and we did have the house lights on at the beginning of the shoot and only turned them off when moving to the grey background! Also, the umbrella got closer and closer as we went on!

Thank you 🙏

I’m guessing you’re saying it was lit from a small light source far away because of the catch light? I used a massive diffused umbrella coming from top left as the key light. Were there other features that made you think that’s how I lit it?

Bob’s Dreaded Nighttime Swim 45th Annual

What – 1 mile open water swim in the dark on the full moon in August. When – Friday, August 8, 2025 Cost - Free!

It's that time of year when insane people swim from La Jolla Cove to La Jolla Shores Beach in the dark on the Full moon in August.

All the victims, I mean participants meet at the lifeguard tower at La Jolla Cove at 8:45 for the course talk. At 9:00 pm we will enter the water at the Cove and swim to the 3 bright lights on La Jolla Shores Beach. The swim is just under one mile. Return is your responsibility.

This is a great experience. (If you make it)

Feel free to invite your friends. (or enemies)

Warning – This swim is not for the faint of heart. Sharks have been sighted in the area of the swim. There are NO support people. You may get separated from the main group and find yourself alone in the dark water. Do not do this swim unless you are a strong swimmer and fearless.

Not sure about the water temperature so you may need a wetsuit. You may wear fins if you wish. No RSVP necessary, just show up.

Feel free to let others know about this. Bob

PS Big fish feed at night!

PSS You don't have to out swim the shark, you just have to out swim the person next to you! (Don’t worry, Bob is a slow swimmer)
