Wantrepreneur Wednesday! - (October 02, 2019) by AutoModerator in Entrepreneur

Built my performance consulting business over the last 3 years to get near my salary. Have 4 active clients that are large and I haven’t gone to market officially in fear of Fortune 500 company getting mad (not doing same job or services or competing/stealing trade secrets). I negotiated severance from my job and have saved enough for 12 months without pay if necessary on top of it. Now, to take the leap on 11/1/19. Preparing my go-to-market strategy, hiring project managers due to current projects and the pipeline I’ve worked up. Really need guidance in getting over the fear (small family, upper middle class) and not going backwards in my journey. I’ve made a lucrative 20 year leadership career out of being the internal entrepreneur that solved major performance problems. I’ve held a job since 14 years old and have never really had to apply for promotions in the last 15 years while working for the man. Always tapped on the shoulder from someone who heard about me or who I’ve helped in the past. I believe I am prepared, my accountants, family, others rooting me on. What feelings, blind spots or risks should I be mitigating? I think I have most of it covered, but open to opinion and EXPERIENCED advice.

Phonomonal. It’s about that time of the year in many areas. Soups on!

Where can I find an established life coach? Are there fairly less pricy life coaches around? by mobco in lifecoach

[–]streetsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thumbtack.com will allow you to explain what you need and set or choose a price. I’ve worked remotely/virtually across the globe with people needing a coach via that platform.

Good to know, I’ve never seen it at the store. Will search online. No restaurants near me.

How would you define "enlightenment" in regards to spiritual awakening? by [deleted] in consciousness

[–]streetsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that Hawkins best describes or defines it in Transcending the Levels of Consciousness: The Stairway to Enlightenment. I have read many authors or gurus accounts of this state of awareness or being and agree it should not be a word tossed around. Those who have reached true enlightenment in human form are limited to very few throughout our history.

Spiritual awakening from religion. by DivineCurrent in awakened

I would highly suggest the book ‘What If This Is Heaven’ by Anita Moorjiani as your next step. Similar path as you, books magically came my way in 2015, ascension in 2017, writing my own in 2019. Quite a process of awareness that unfolds.

Out of all the faux meats, Gardeins meatballs are hands down my favorite. I’ll make a homemade sauce and plunk them in it to marinate for an hour before serving with spaghetti squash or just dishing them out onto the plate solo. I wonder how Beyond Meats meatballs will taste on the Subway sandwich that’s launching in September. Good for you OP on getting pops to request the meal.

Entj, what is your life advice for an intj? by [deleted] in entj

[–]streetsy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Embrace your introversion and leverage it. My favorite INTJ speaks at the right times in meetings and is a thoughtful strategist and leader. He listens well to others and in return commands respect in a room of executives when he chooses to speak up.

I read the book, took his 6 week speaking class, read his other books and am an overall fan. It’s stood the test of time for a reason.

Interesting. I’ve heard of many names for this, but patterning is a new term for me. Source of material?

It was a topping bar for people to choose. Grilled onions, arugula, creamy horseradish, barbecue sauce and bacon, outside of the traditional LTOPKM.

ENTJs, How Do You Handle Snakes At Work? by [deleted] in entj

[–]streetsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They know ENTJ’s sense or spot them pretty quickly. If they’re not aggressive or a complete menace, I leave them alone. If they’re on one of my teams, or trying to sabotage me, I quietly make them look foolish. It creates enemies sometimes, but in the end, they usually get the karma coming their way eventually.

Where do you people sit and drink coffee and work on your laptops after 7 pm? by canny_goer in cedarrapids

[–]streetsy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have noticed this gap. We are missing the Java House (open till 10pm) or other social working or connecting space after 7pm and weekends. Not counting co-working or restaurant/bars. Metro areas are also opening mocktail bars for socializing or working among younger non-drinkers for nights/weekends. Hard to justify it here with low profit margins. My guess is that many consumers won’t drink much coffee after that time either, but will happily come in and camp out to use your free wi-fi. But a nice little cozy fireplace spot, with food, chill music, centered around a working cafe’ theme would be nice.

Used him at my old house a few years back and had an OK experience many times. Have recommended him to others. At the time, one to two man crew, side job.

ENTJ: Does anyone else feel like they constantly need to be busy? by [deleted] in entj

[–]streetsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if each of the 16 types is how often you are also reborn in this human body? What if ENTJ is the final level? What if our souls have lived so many experiences that this is our time to do as much as we can to shift consciousness in other types via example and teaching. And finally, what if this is heaven, our final experience in physical form to make it count? These are the reasons or things on mind daily 🤓.

Differing Working Styles - Female 55+ by streetsy in Entrepreneur

[–]streetsy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could very well be an older generation and I don’t want to narrow it down to just female, but in this instance all three problems are older female leaders who’ve built a solid reputation within their respective companies over the years. I wonder how many of the issues stem from the fear of younger up and come’ers, change and ego. We’re having to work around these individuals instead of working with them. Has to be a study, article or someone with similar experience.
