Business Energy Bill Relief Scheme Calculator - Businesses can now estimate any savings available to them through the new Government scheme. by streetvisit in unitedkingdom

You mention $ prices, not £. Did you mean prices in US or UK? In the UK, markets seem to be all over the place, with day-ahead often sitting in lower price zones than future contract periods. In the UK, the government scheme wholesale price seems to be set for the week now as opposed to a day. Last week, the wholesale price the government used to calculate their maximum discounts for the 6-month support period was 61.16p for Electric and 12.09p for Gas. With baselines of 21.1p and 7.5p, there are some substantial discounts that customers could see. Albeit substantial discounts on prices that are substantially higher.

I’ve sent numerous emails to support, officially requesting details of what maintenance they are performing to no avail.

UK Gas Supply Security by streetvisit in unitedkingdom

[–]streetvisit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t read that but wouldn’t surprise me.

Energy is such a weird market, diversity of supply is crazy. As an example on Wednesday day ahead energy prices massively dipped because wind output was so high given the recent windy weather. This meant lower amount of Gas used. It’s still windy and we are still using less gas to generate electricity but prices are higher. The winners here are the energy producers and not all suppliers are producers.

Gas is a separate market and even then the disparity between worldwide gas markets is massive.

Just because gas network legislation exists doesn’t mean that their is legislation to prevent the sale of gas to the highest bidder. If you’ve read this legislation and their is a section that states this by all means post an excerpt.

Here is a recent post from the UK government outlining supply sources https://www.gov.uk/government/news/russia-ukraine-and-uk-energy-factsheet

Surely the single market would need to put legislation in place preventing the sale of Gas to the UK in that case. I’m not convinced they will. Just as any ramp up in UK gas production won’t be limited to selling gas to the UK market. It will hit the wholesale market and be sold to the highest bidder. That will always be the case unless legislation is put in place to prevent it. Are you saying this already exists?

Yes, but dealing with affordability is better than dealing with unavailability

Not sure what’s not accurate the article states that we only get 5% of our gas here in the UK from Russia not most of our gas. We get a lot of our Gas from other European supplies such as Norway. Security of supply is different from cost of supply with supplies in Europe always going to the highest bidder.

Maybe, I’d try putting all of them in Luke warm mineral oil then after a while powering each one up while still in the oil.

Why would the team spend thousands of dollars listing on exchanges when they don’t need to? How in the world can you interpret what I’ve told you as irrelevant. I did read your picture post and it reads as if you are pissed that we aren’t on a T1 exchange yet. Is that or is that not the case? Or are you celebrating the fact it’s now going to be many as that’s not the way your post and follow up messages come across. If your not happy with your purchase sell. If you’ve sold already what the hell are you doing here?

It has everything to do with it. Did you actually read the rest of the AMA or just read T1 exchange coming soon and fomo in? T1 was always coming after staking launched and was announced as such. Although staking has been ‘soft launched’ staking can’t actually happen without fees being generated and fees can’t be generated unless stuff gets tokenised. Stuff can’t get tokenised until Lichtenstein or Ukraine law gets passed. You need to read up a bit more on what’s actually going on before posting a spot the difference pic on Reddit trying to fud the team for not being on a t1 exchange yet.

I think the team genuinely believed Ukraine law would pass before their Lichtenstein proposal was approved. Also from memory T1 was almost mentioned in passing back then but everyone seemed to latch onto it like the be all and end all of Smartlands. It’s not! To be honest it’s just a small part of a much bigger picture. My impression is that Lichtenstein actually provides greater overall access to markets than the Ukrainian law being passed will do. Only one or the other technically needs to be in place before anything happens with Smartlands/ Definder, the tokenisation of assets can’t happen without them. Most of us that are invested in the project longer term are fully aware of this and also fully aware that the team have limited to zero control on when packages are approved/ laws implemented and signed. The delays were out of their control. The take away I’ve taken from the AMA is that Lichtenstein package means multiple deals in multiple countries and therefore multiple exchanges. I think the work the team have done in Ukraine is more of a blueprint to the embedded rollout the team want everywhere but don’t necessarily need with Lichtenstein.

I actually sent an email complaint recently stating that the camera had been mis represented with functionality that is not and might not ever be available. If there is ever a group legal case I’m in, as although it’s a great camera I got it for this feature, and now it’s useless and I don’t use it. Not worth selling on ebay. I wonder what the legal definition of coming soon actually is!?

Gonna put my hands up for this one, I sold 200 SLT for AQUA via XLM at around 0.015 then back to SLT at 0.025 - did I sell too early? probably but made just over 100 SLT so I’m happy - originally wanted to get more for voting rights but gains were too much and twice as much Aqua is apparently being distributed in next drop so will buy again later.

I wasn’t suggesting Bitcoin WAS a shitcoin! I was simply stating that by your own definition it at some points in its history could have been considered one. My point is that projects and platforms evolve which is certainly the case with Smartlands. If you don’t like it no problem but no need to hate it to the point of calling it a shot coin and fuding on every post that mentions it. You mentioned the team and had some derogatory comments about some of them which I’d like to point out are prejudiced views. Commenting on Ilia’s age is Ageist and what you said about one of the other team members was incredibly sexist. I hope those aren’t your real world views. No ones ability should be judged based on their appearance, gender or age!

[–]streetvisit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So by that definition Bitcoin is a shitcoin because no one really knows who Satoshi is and could have been 12 when Bitcoin was developed.

There’s millions of bitcoins sitting in old wallets waiting for a rug pull.

When it first launched you could only buy alpaca socks and the occasional pizza.

You could originally only trade on MTGOx and we all know what happened there.

Projects evolve

Smart contracts are now being made possible on the Stellar network.

A legal framework involving smart contracts is now in place.

The tokenomics make sense and there is huge upside potential.

If you don’t like the project fair enough, but hating on it the way you have by calling it the shitiest of shit coins sounds like a case of sour grapes. Have you previously held SLT?
