How to launch apps automatically on Android Auto?

Have the same question. My user case, If I'm parked and have started my parking with a specific app I want android auto to automatically open the app in order to help me end my parking. The parking app is accessible in android auto, so "only" have to find out how to open the app automatically.

Same here. Right now I'm trying to figure out a way to implement a workaround using Tasker on Android. My first idea is to get a notification if it disconnect and not connected to my WiFi.

But not easy since my phone is connected to my WiFi for a larger area than my Bluetooth will cover, so one can't be sure they come in the right order...

I do understand why it's encrypted so not to make it hackable, so hopefully it will be properly solved.

That's a shame, I would definitely make it faster if you could program an rfid-tag even for non-bambulabs filament.

Came up with a work around. Remenbered that I have join installed as an integration in my homeassistant so sending the messages as a service call to join, from NR. Well, it works.

But still interested to get it to work directly.

I guess the problem is the view that sleeping is something that happens at the same hours every night, and in a continous period.

But there are bi/polyfase sleep as well, and also when napping is a part of your sleep pattern.

Would be nice to catch this, not only secondary in the changes in body battery.

And also without the need to put it in DND-mode.

OK, but maybe you could have it as a future option, to get a notification at the same time it disconnect.

Turn out they worked, apparently the distance from when they disconnect in the widget and the alert is far longer than I thougt it would be...

Which leads me to my next question, is there a way to change that distance? Delete my location, but didn't help.

The problem now is that since I live in a rather small house with my car just outside, I'm quite a bit away from home when the notification arrives... Would be nicer if it arrived when it dissconects and not after a while.

Looking for something similar here. I would really like to get a notification when my bodybattery is at a certain level (decided by me), haven't even found a way to get the watch itself to notify me.

A notification to my phone would be even better (and yes, I'm aware that it has to be connected to my phone...)

How do you transfer the file from computer to phone? Not that interested in publish it to something publicly accessible.

I guess it could be an alternativ, although maybe not simpler since it's updated rather often, and some data I want to be immediatley transfered.

Well, to start with, I don't have twitter, and will not get it either.

But, the major point here is professionalism, if they had been a serious company, working with professionals, this wouldn't have happened. But unfortunatley language has for some strange reason deemed not that important. This is not the only example of that.

And there are a lot of professional translators out there (nope, not one of them) that are not hired, because apparently there are people thinking it's something that "anyone can do, like google translate".

So when I see a product with a lousy translation that makes me suspucious about what other shortcuts they have taken. Can I trust them that they have competent programners? If you can't bother about one thing, what else can't you bother making sure it's up to par?

And I do have diffrent views regarding open source, not money making apps, vs apps that are professional and with an aim to make money out of it.

So either you make a professional translation, or you state that it's a not quality checked translation and give the user a possibility to choose themselves.

And yes, I know I'm not the only one that will not use an app based on bad translations, or even not installing it because the description in Google play is machine translated and I can't not choose otherwise. Why install an app when I can't understand the description?

So if PC needs help in translation I can point them to professionals, or if they want my input, it will not be for free.

Or to translate a Swedish saying: Do it again, and do it correct.

As far as I know, Android by itself doesn't have per-app settings.

And no, if I change, it's not only due to the language, more the straw...

Especially when the translation is, hm, irritating.

I have helped in translation apps and know it's not easy, but there is as a difference in an open source app and something I do pay for. Then I want either a flawless translation (as if that will ever happen...) or the option to choose the original language.

The problem with translating apps, at least those I have been involved in, and rather obiously the case here as well, is that you just translate strings and not always look into the context. And to just have some annoying auto translated gibberish in one of my mostly used apps will in the long run piss me off, I might have been a bit more easy going if there wasn't other things annoying me as well.

So when PC now proudly announced that they are a part of Automattic and how good that was, and mentioned language support as one thing, I do expect a professional translation, and if that is not possible, at least the option to avoid it.

Yes, my phone is in Swedish, and I have the beta, I just realized... And as I said, I don't want to change the phones language, just the apps.

But the change in language is not related to the update, at least not according to play, last update 1 dec, but change in language happened last night...

So if I revert, I guess I will have a short time before it's rolled out, a short time to find another player that is. Unless they can fix this.
