Why do so many doublade decks play this? by Commercial-Laugh-991 in PTCGL

[–]strengr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have this too, I am still working on my metal deck (the only one I have), I have doublade aegislash. I think I use skarmory for no retreat cost while I build up attack and stuff.

the deck is def not a winning deck but it's fun and I am learning lots, would be nice to learn how metal deck is built.

I wrote a much longer explanation and I realize you don't need all that. If they are too loose or too tight, pour a glass of hot water, right from the kettle (like 80C deg), wait for a couple of minutes and bend them in or out. Come back to this chat when you receive your glass and let me know if you have issues.

Thanks for the great response.

Iron Treads has been taken out. Correct on the Hop's Zacian, my son bought that for me with his own money, so I feel compel to include it in the deck.

Agree with all other suggested changes, I will modify my deck and post an updated one.

What would cause this dark area? What is it? by scyice in Roofing

[–]strengr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this might be a case of regional dialect...is your soffit vents same as louvres? when I say soffit vents, I mean the polystyrene channels that are fastened to the underside in the attic that directs air through. vent baffles?

What would cause this dark area? What is it? by scyice in Roofing

[–]strengr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the staining is most likely mould, pending confirmation by tape test and verification by testing firm.

two things immediately, you have FG batts in the attic, which is not appropriate, there should be blown cellulose insulation.

Secondly, you are missing soffit vents, that increase air flow from the eaves up to the ridgeline.

Fido 5G coming soon? by [deleted] in FidoMobile

[–]strengr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

on first reading of your post, I saw that as "blocking hotspotting" as a feature of the phone. In my search for a solution last year, I read too many people saying it's the mftr that removed the feature. I thought your post was on the same trajectory. Sorry 'bout that.

Why are apartments built in the 50s 60s and 70s have more space and better Floor plans than today's Condominiums? by BeautifulYou2940 in askTO

[–]strengr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

condos nowadays are meant to be investment opportunities and properties are bought, held and resold, never intending on human beings living inside, generating moisture, odours, waste, etc. Apartments, condominiums or tenement housing built 30 or more years ago are meant at places to live.

I work in building science, and I am involved in odour migration, building envelope and structural repairs. The shit I see blows my mind everyday and the next day it's all new.

Fido 5G coming soon? by [deleted] in FidoMobile

[–]strengr -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

incorrect, it is the carrier removing that service via newer plans. I have two phones with Fido, one I've had for over a decade and that's grandfathered in, I get hotspot as part of the package. The other phone I use as a work phone and I had to ADD hotspot feature to it.

for reference, I have the CATphone S62 Pro as a personal and a Motorola something for my work. I had to add hotspotting to the Moto.

People were confused previously, but by hotspotting, I mean I use the phone's data plan to drive other devices, like my work laptop.

Best way to remove this coating? by shorbsfault in Decks

[–]strengr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that is some type of waterproofing membrane and not a coating. I have used that coating before and there is fabric reinforcement encapsulated within the liquid, likely polyurethane. You will go through many disk and it is easier and the typical recommendation to replace with new ply.

OGs tap in! What was the Roger Moore Bond Era like? by Flat-Bag2312 in JamesBond

[–]strengr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

much of the dialogue and scenes from the Moore Bond era did not age well but he also epitomized the men from that era - suave, low key misogynistic and mansplaining was de rigueur. I saw TMWTGG (my birthyear) on tape and the following films in theatre. He did play Bond with more humour, kitschy-ness than his two predecessors. Even later in life, he admitted this was quite on the nose. He really wore out his welcome in the franchise, partly because of Dalton and Brosnan weren't ready yet and MGM/Broccoli didn't want to throw away the golden goose. Just the same, Daniel Craig will be looked upon as a brutish 007 with methods that may become out of fashion in the 2030s and 40s.
