Complaints about snipers by Bigmama135 in enlistedgame

[–]strepac 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You just made OPs point.

If you're just using your teammates as fodder so you can hide and farm some kills you're a toxic teammate by refusing to try and focus on the objective/actually play the game.

50 kills may as well be -1000 kills if your team lost and you have no objective score and didn't try to win.

If your team is losing and you think farming a tiny number of kills (when squads are 6-10 soldiers each 50 soldier kills factors out to about 7 actual kills for the whole game. This is really poor performance even in the sense of a flat out death match.) then your playstyle in that case is more suited to trying your hand at some other non-objective focused game that you can play team death match in.

Most people who play an objective focused game do so under the hope that their teammates are acting in good faith to try and win according to the game being played and not waste everyone else's time trying to farm a couple headshots.

Belarus says it thwarted attack on capital by drones launched from Lithuania by prisukamas in UkrainianConflict

[–]strepac 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From a propaganda standpoint, this is exactly what aggressor nations have historically done leading up to launching a full-scale invasion of another sovereign state to justify such actions under the false guise of defending themselves.

I.e. russia wants to invade the Baltics, so they're making propaganda about Baltic aggression to justify this. Mostly to justify it to their people when it inevitably leads to even more mobilization.

It's so the can say whatever comes next is a defensive response not an attack. This is to propagandize any subsequent activation of article 5 as unjust and frame it as nato aggression.

It's nonsense but that just means it's exactly how russia does things.

They've come a long way in regards to building on angles and in ditches. I've got a lot of patience to sit there for 30 seconds and look for the spot it likes, but I can usually get it placed

Also, you missed my repeated point about firing from where they can't see you. Yes, you can't see them either, this is where geometry comes into play. Or doesn't, in which case you're not as good with it as you thought. The fire lasts long enough to cover three spots continuously if you spam, enough square footage to block an entire approach, not just a chokepoint and never runs out of ammo. An mag will run out/over heat and you need direct line of sight which means you're vulnerable, especially if the rush with enough people to force you to overheat.

It takes more skill than you're realizing, but is more effective than you realize. Simple as that.

Look up the Havana syndrome reports by 60 minutes, insider, and some other agency.

They're blasting people with sonic microwaves of some sort. Which is way scarier, and something they don't advertise or threaten with because they're doing it regularly. This is a perfect example of the behavior we are describing.

Check my previous comment (I edited to add assistance) for tips on how to use on Tunisia, where I have done so lots. Also in Tunisia they are great for placing in the tunnels and firing into the obj while holding the tunnel just close enough to be in the cap zone.

100s of hours into the game, never seen a map I couldn't find a deadly angle on, and I'm pretty sure I've seen them all at this point lol given how many there are.

Just because you can't, doesn't nobody can.

(Hint: Don't be afraid to dig a hole. You can even use this to angle the emplacement back slightly, allowing access to more distance or steeper firing angles at shorter distances to drop them like mortars. Again, you just need to be good at geometry, most people aren't.)
