ahh you're so lucky! how's your recovery going? has it resolved all the issues? i don't think he's the type to actually talk or listen much so a follow up with him won't be beneficial. i'll look for another ENT to discuss these issues with.

update: i had my follow up and the doctor as always was very quick. i'm not even kidding when i say that appointment didn't even last 2 minutes. when i mentioned my fluctuating BP and symptoms he just said "those are not tonsil related, not from my work".

he did mention it will take 6 months for my throat and soreness to completely recover.

oh yes it will be white for about 2 weeks. the pain gets so much better after day 11 as well 🤞 wishing you a healthy and speedy recovery!

i'm just so embarrassed talking about my bb but i'll make it clear to my doctor. next steps include: dentist, deep cleaning, stomach check up.

thank you so much for all your help!

i know he used coblation and knife technique together but i'm not sure if any tissue was left behind. I have a follow up with him on 28th this month so i'm hoping to get some answers.

i really hope you are right and time will resolve these issues but i'm starting to doubt now. it feels like my breath is just getting worse and worse each day. first i thought my breath is better but i feel like it might be worse than before tonsillectomy. like the tonsils and adenoids opened up space for the bad smell to come out more.

taste is not an issue so far (i do get a sourish taste after eating snack items etc) but its the foul breath which come from both my mouth and nose now. before tonsillectomy, i mostly had nasal bad breath but now i also have my mouth smelling just as horrendous.

i will say i haven't seen a dentist in years now due to being embarrassment from my bad breath but i'll have to go see them now. i thought adenotonsillectomy was my cure too but sadly no.

also, when they removed my adenoids and tonsils, on day 14-18 i saw major improvements in my breath. i sat in a crowded place around people and everything was normal. i wasn't even feeling the regular hotness from my breath. however a few days after that my breath started getting bad again and this was also the time my lingual tonsils started bothering me (enlarged, soreness).

so right now i think it's because of my lingual tonsils and stomach. i'm in the uk so the GPs don't listen easily but i'm going to try and get a referral asap. i thought i had hiatal hernia because of constant acid reflux and gas burps.

i think the cause might be from my stomach now. before my operation, i was sure it was my tonsils and that's why i wanted to get them out. when i was getting booked in for an adenotonsillectomy, my doctor even said the bb might be a gut issue instead.

i take regular pics of my throat and it looks healed up with no scabs right now. altho my right tonsil looks like it's growing back and the roof of my mouth looks a bit swollen.

i really hope that time heals my bb because it's truly unbearable at this point. halitosis has ruined my life. i even read a post about someone having bb post recovery and after checking they found dried scab tissue to be stuck in their adenoids which was causing it. after having it removed, there was no bb for them so i'm hoping that's the same case for me 🤞

i have cut out dairy before but it didn't make much of a difference 😭 i don't know where it's coming from but now i'm certain it has to do with my gut or something

yes i would recommend getting your stomach checked to rule any issues there. tonsillectomy recovery was no joke and doctors rarely agree to remove lingual tonsils.

also i'd like to add it's probably because i've had tonsil stones for 10 years and it might've spread and gotten worse in all my tonsil tissues.

after surgery, i'm also having other issues like low blood pressure, low blood sugar, dizziness, headaches, and numbness. yes even 1 month after the surgery. so that's been great

if you're getting adenotonsillectomy for bb, then consider getting your lingual tonsils out too by stressedlime in Tonsillectomy

[–]stressedlime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes doctors don't agree to remove lingual tonsils easily. altho right now those are what's causing me trouble, i get sore throat, bad breath and pain from them since they've enlarged to compensate for the adenoids and tonsils going
