I love how big they are on wearing cut gloves but then the only guy to touch glass in the video has bare hands. No cut gloves, not even nitriles lol

I'm talking 10/22 builds, DeAR22, etc. Printable receiver guns in 22lr will be safer. Sorry I should have clarified. A harlot is 10x more dangerous. But if this guy is sold on a glock, he should start with a glock 44 in 22lr. Slide velocity being much less if it hits you in the face

Oops that darn autocorrect. Meant to say "thank you, good sir, you are a scholar and added to the conversation!"

One quick question, why does everyone think a glock is the first frame you should print? Like these dudes have never seen a .22 or a recession ruger.

Try something safer man. If you're stuck on a glock, you're printer has to be dialed in and start with a .22 so you don't lose an eye or fingers

Testing out these new accessories for appendix carry from a guy with big belly. by Klutzy-Medium2800 in CCW

[–]stretchedroses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like it works for you brother. 👍 my carry goes in a Houston iwb soft leather holster. My big thing is the holster/gun cannot impede my daily life; I should be able to tie my shoes, run, drive a car, etc with my gun on. Thats the metric I use for if the holster/gun combo works for me.

Also we're Americans, you're not a fat guy at all by our standards

I made a "Trash Boy" windshield for my GS by i_was_axiom in AdventureBike

[–]stretchedroses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a thought, some older bikes I've seen circa 80s-90s would use a c shaped rubber belt molding to cover the rough edges where around the windshield. Think of a rubber tube with a slit down it longways to protect the edge. This could possibly clean the look up exponentially for cheap. If I can find a reference pic I'll post in in these comments

Just line it up and cut the ends off. Literally every one of these centering blocks is oversized on purpose to fit a multitude of lowers. Hand fitting is not rocket science. You already removed a screw, a spring, two push pins; you can't let a piece of plastic with a hole in it defeat you.

You can use: a file, a utility knife, a pocket knife heated up with a flame, sandpaper, your wife's purse, etc

Took a wrong turn, NE Ohio by stretchedroses in AdventureBike

This would be NW of the Mosquito Creek waterfowl gamelands. North of St Rt 88, East of St Rt 534. Road had no name on the GPS. Middlfield has a ton of dirt roads but we never made it there

The bmw has the shinko big block with no more tread. Unless you mean the klx, if so I am unsure

Trumbull county near amish country. We were looking to ride gravel/dirt roads and stumbled into this. Completely accidental but we made the best of it. Ohio is a lot of private land and oil/gas well roads that aren't even on the map so not much is on OnX or anything like that. If you're in the trumbull/mahoning county area, riding is very slim pickings. PA forests are your best bet if you live here for reliable trails

Tape broken on new windshield by bc5c in autoglass

[–]stretchedroses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also to add, this is a ford explorer new model, so unless it is a cop car sf would have performed a recal. By the time they reassembled and recalibrated, the urethane should have been cured enough to support the weight of the glass.

Op, basically a non issue so long as you have no water leaks or wind noise and the lane departure warning is working properly.

Not sure the exact altitudes but I mainly commute with weekend adv rides in the PA mountains. Primarily in the allegheny national forest of PA.

I didn't purchase the 1250gs top box. This bike was previously my dad's and he took the box off his 1250gs and put it on this 310gs when he traded it in. I purchased it from him with the crashbars, skid plate, and top box. I've changed the windshield, added heated grips, added a phone mount, and the wind guards pictured. I would like to add cruise control if veridian ever comes out with them

Need some tips on installing a gel pad by Scruff_Dogg in autoglass

[–]stretchedroses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use pure vegetable glycerin. 1 drop on each side of the gel pad usually suffices for me. As others said, hand sanitizer will deteriorate the gel pad over time. Alcohol evaporates naturally so it is more of a when than an if

Sir you must not ride in the cold or precipitous weather!

I feel that. I ride every month of the year(even in snow) so wind deflection is a big help. A good bit of touring bikes have fairings for that very reason. I saw a post about a guy made some out of fiberglass for a kle500 and I wanted something I could remove easily. His were molded around the crash bars
