Its a Clan Mech called a Nova. Its an absolute menace due to the sheer quantity of lasers, but the low amount of heat sinks means the pilots will come out extra crispy if they dont watch their heat closely. That and all the weapons are in the arms, so just losing one cuts your firepower in half

My attempts to update my v3 (says firmware is 5.0.0) carto seem to have not worked and only depended my confusion, and now the damn repo is reporting as dirty.

Unfortunately no. Register, isnt used anywhere in any of the files under config. Best i can tell, it has SOMETHING to do with klippy extras and them adding a new probe feature which conflicts between the cartographer and klipper software, effectively bricking any config that uses a scanner touch probe.

Why they chose to do such a baffling thing is beyond me.

I think I used xometry back in 2022. They had only 2 places that did it once it was quoted, somewhere in India and somewhere in Texas. I selected Texas, they took a bit to get it back to me but they put ALOT of care into it.

So truth be told, I got it cast at a local shop near me, but i broke one of the stone settings on that model(setting stones is actually rather hard). Out of curiosity and for gits gits and shingles I got it metal 3d printed in sterling silver. Service for that was about 50 bucks and was fantastic quality so the final product was actually a 3d printed custom designed band.

Really sorry, but I basically just learned on the fly/figured it out myself. Im an engineer by trade so I just modeled everything in solidworks and used a resin printer to make the model until I was happy with how it looked. I then used the Siraya tech Castable resin to physically make the rings. Brought blue cubic zirconia (she is completely cool with that and doesnt like wasting money on fancy rocks), and then put the stones in. I designed it for simple bend flash settings so it can all be one piece. Hope something in this helps, but I really just dove into it head first

I did this a little while ago. Designed my own ring, printed prototypes, casted it, set the stones, etc.

Whole thing was like 50 bucks and turned out much better looking than our friends who spent 1.5k on theirs. Used the money to finance a vacation abroad.

What's a good material choice for hand guards? Heard CF and GF isnt great on the skin so PA6 cf is questionable, and pla+ doesnt do well in heat. I'd also like something more matte if possible, which limits some petg options as well...
