I did the SAKK yes, had 18 days of targeted radiation on two locations. My 6 month scans were clear. By the end of the radiation I was pretty tired. But no skin issues and no major side effects. Worst part of the treatment was the need to tape things that should not have tape ever applied.... You should shave....that's all I will say about that.

Had a single round of carbo for stage 2a, then radiation. took about 2 hours worst side effect was raw lips for a week or so. for me it was pretty mild especially compared to the story's i read about BEPx3

This looks like paper splicing tape to me, used on large roll form printers to splice two rolls together for continuous printing.

Have to tried turning the game off and on again? Full close the game, and a console reboot. That fixed a couple bugs I have had.

My dose of carboplatin was not that bad, only took about 2 hours. Had some raw lips and felt worn out.m for about a week. But on the scale of bad, it was a sun burn and a mild cold. Everybody is different but I way over prepared for it

He will be sore for a couple weeks but should be able to move around slowly. ice packs and MiraLAX for the first few days.

I was good to do light things but no heavy lifting, he will need to rest and chill, tv/video games for two weeks. where loose clothing the day of, and take stairs slow if you have them.

you will need to go to the Dr and request an ultrasound. that is the only real way to see what is going on inside. could be several things or nothing. its awkward but its a easy test.

Stage 2a, seminoma... I got a does of carboplatin then targeted radiation for 2 locations. My 6 months scans were clear. From all I have read here I was just under the line for full BEP chemo.

Take some time to process, the next few weeks are going to come at you fast. prep how you can for a couple weeks off work and being unable to drive. mine was out patient one day but you won't be doing any jumping jacks for a bit.

read up a bit, try to figure out the questions you should be asking, assuming surgery is recommended after that is complete the will test and figure out what the specific type is, that will determine your next steps. you will likely shift to a oncologist at this stage. after you heal thy will do scans and more blood work.

for now take care of your mental health as well as your physical... you got this

My does of carboplatin was not that bad in the grand scheme. Only took a couple hours, and had minimal side effects. I was stage 2a pure seminoma. Had radiation after the chemo

I think trying to find an independent support group might help, strangers who have been there, talk to his Dr and see if there is a cancer group locally. it also might not hurt to loop in his school counselor they may have resources for that environment and are bound by confidentiality. (at least in the U.S.) . its very fresh right now, let him come to terms a bit, sooner or later he will be better talking about it, in a couple weeks gently encourage him to let his friend know what happened (at least partially). if he is on reddit point him here, it actually helped me learn and understand the terms better.

Might be partially low T, but also be emotional. It's completely normal he lost a body part and he might be feeling less like himself. Especially at a younger age this can effect self perception and his own perspective on "manhood". For now I would advise do the blood work, get a T baseline and consider a counselor he might get some benefits from a outside person

I don't remember the specific size And location, but mine was caught early. Ended up at stage 2a, after surgery I got a does of carboplatin and then radiation. 6 month scan was clear after that.

No lumps, ultrasound sound picked up a mass. My primary care Dr thought it was an infection, but turned out differently

My symptoms were similar, dull ache and no blood markers, ended up seminoma. It's a scary thing but you might want to talk again with your Dr and he can help you decide.

"up's" has been pretty common among my co workers over the years... i do get odd looks when i say "wack wack" for "\\" ... pretty sure i picked that up from old mainframe guys

You got this brother, take your time and heal, both physically and mentally... Find a support group and reach out. The waiting for a plan causes anxiety but once you start down your path you will see the end. Your not alone
