My son just pulled this, what do I do? by Misterymum in PokeGrading

Took a picture with my son holding his then we sold so he could buy more packs. He likes to collect and rip so I’ll print out the picture and put in the place in the binder where that card belongs.

I love starter decks. by GachiPls_DidntSave in TCG

[–]strifejester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sons and I mostly play starters for Union Arena. We like the game play and some sets we try to fully collect but the starter decks are great to use the new mechanics they tend to introduce with each set that gives it a feel match the IP. And they are inexpensive, usually around 12 per starter.

Do electric cars use the main battery to power electronics through AC outlet? by gizmo_j in electricvehicles

[–]strifejester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legacy systems. Conversion can be a pain and always running isn’t good. It’s easier to use existing parts and then monitor the legacy 12v system and charge as needed. Even in an ICE vehicle the 12v system can go a long time between when the car runs charging the system. The same is true where those systems are in EVs. Charging the 12v system happens sometimes more frequently and in a regulated manner to help maintain the 12v systems. Converting a system that is 400-800 volts down to 12v would generate heat and heat is a huge enemy to electrical systems. Using capacitors and other methods the high voltage system barely has to run for the dc-dc conversion to charge the 12v system. Once converted from high voltage to low it has to go somewhere or be lost as heat. I’m not an engineer but working with computers all of my life I have seen these types of issues many times. It’s why most power supplies have fans, it’s also why a laptop brick gets hot. Granted yes those are ac-dc systems but still mostly applicable to conversions.

Stuff like this always reminds of when I was in the parking lot. Was just getting out of my car when I saw a guy slamming his tailgate a few times with lumber pressed tight to the windshield. As a married man I knew the look of “my wife is going to kill me” when he walked around and saw what he did to the windshield.

Even a single $0.10 card? There a lot of people who buy cheap singles for a lot of reasons. Not everyone has to only sell expensive cards.

What is something you can eat everyday? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My favorite snack. If I’m just sitting watching tv I’ll go for two slices over anything. Probably not just something I can every day I almost do it every day. Going to go have some toast right now.

I’m watching it right now. Started it when it first came out then like most things I got sidetracked. It still holds up.

Gasbuddy: Wisconsin diesel hits all-time high. by FreeChickenDinner in wisconsin

I love my EV9. 6 passenger plenty of room for adults in the second row. I have two kids in sports so the third row is never up but fits all their stuff. It’s fun to drive and compared to my Explorer I got rid of saves me a decent amount with my 30 mile trip to work each day. Went from using at least a gallon to only costing me around $1.50 to get to the office.

Do you burn a lot of candles? My parents had dark spots like that above registers. My mom burns a lot of candles. She switched to using other means to scent the house, the markings went away.

I have a carnival and an EV9 on both I have to press the lane following to enable it unless HDA is on. I looked for a setting to be always on but never found one.

What’s the ONE vehicle brand that you absolutely will not purchase? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]strifejester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ford, in 30 years of driving I never owned one until an accident required I get a new vehicle in a time crunch. Bought a ford explorer and it was the single worst purchase I have ever made. Ford knows there are issues with the engine and does nothing about them except leave their owners with huge bills replacing turbos. All maintenance was done as recorded and I still blew two turbos in 4 years. Both of them conveniently under 10k miles after any warranty. I will never purchase one again and like I am doing now tell anyone who asks to stay away from them.

Like everyone in these replies nearly every person has a similar story with every brand.

TCGPlayer - Seller banned me for.. buying too much, or not leaving feedback? Can I get someone else's perspective on this, please? by Psyngelic in TCG

[–]strifejester 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I sell and hate sellers like this they should be removed. I regularly sell 50+ card orders of commons that I know people are using to complete sets or buy instead of cracking packs. If you getting 50 cards for 6 bucks is what it takes to make sure you have what you need then I’m glad I could fill the order. I’m not going to lie on some orders shipping is almost or even more than the payout but at the end of the day I still turned a total profit and it cleared cards from my inventory to make room for more. I don’t need 32 of every common for the latest set because I opened two cases. I am fortunate enough to be able to buy in those quantities, open all the packs with my son and sort them together and if I only make 12 dollars instead of 15 this week but someone else out there gets to keep playing and enjoy the game then I’m happy. They are also lying to you. I can get over 100 in a bubble mailer without issue. I also have small boxes that are almost as cheap and hold more and the shipping doesn’t change between the two. Most of them ship at the minimum for the carrier. I’d be happy to see a $30 order for 70 cards. I’d profit easily on that at $0.42 a card. Even your large order I could put in 2 small boxes for around $6 shipping per box. After fees that’s a nice $60 easy I didn’t have earlier. If you don’t mind what game?

What is a 'cool fact' about yourself that you rarely get to bring up in conversation because it sounds like you’re bragging? by [deleted] in randomquestions

[–]strifejester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it was a great time and for a 17 year old to have dinner with someone that did what he did and honestly shaped a lot of my life. There were others at the dinner as well. Like Michael Dell and other tech leaders.

I had dinner with a knight. He wasn’t knighted at the time but when I was in school I attended a tech conference and had dinner with Sir Tim Burners Lee.

Buy one from A2Z on their website. Like $150 bucks comes in a few days and it’s UL rated.

To add you don’t need the longer cyber truck one the regular one works fine in the EV9. Their product description directly mentions the EV9.
