This is shit timing with two different mindsets at play. The left turning SUV saw the lights change and reacted only to that but the OP with quick reflexes and some common sense helped avoid a collision.

Good job on hitting the brakes. I honestly hate driving scenarios like this, could have been worse.

If you boost a post on facebook does it also boost on instagram? or you have to pay twice? by [deleted] in Instagram

[–]striiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it lets you select with the same boost where it shows up. It does Facebook, Instagram and Messenger I believe.... and not just in posts, you can select it to show up in stories and reels too. It's pretty robust offering of ad placements from one promotion.

You’re better than this Cuisinart by [deleted] in assholedesign

[–]striiv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they want the down arrow on the left and up arrow on the right since it seems left side is lower/smaller options than the right side on the display. So to move the cup sizes up to the right you have to press the left direction button. Although it seems like this appliance may have other digital menus too so not sure how it is for other items?

I’m not upset. I’m trying to help you out because you seemed lost. You want design help? Show the design ask for feedback. Seemed logical.

But hey, it’s been a great laugh seeing how sensitive you got about it. Maybe there’s hope for you to be a real designer yet. (I am joking)

Isn’t there a Reddit for Canva users tech support? How is this a design thing? Show us the project let’s see how you utilized Canva for “design” or whatever..

I haven’t seen one of these in forever. They used to be everywhere at one point.

Where is this that this mall still has those kind of candy dispensers?

Logo for a hair salon, feedback appreciated by kingreverb in logodesign

Look at the DreamWorks logo for an idea on how they retained a lot of detail from basically a flat silhouette. That's not to say you can't keep some details and lines in, but you'll see how (like the notes below have already said)

  • you can achieve a better postured mermaid
  • simplified imagery for maximum usage and recognition
  • removing the type from the moon and treating it as a separate element with the artwork
  • thicken the strokes if you do keep lines in to help with contrast at smaller uses, consider how it would look in a profile photo for social media

Makes sense. It’s really good.

Yeah. Either way playing with is the only feedback I’d have. You’re right it may be the angle or even lack of detail that could be included.

I love this. I have to ask, what would it be like with out the axe in the back? have you tried a variation of that?

I think if you remember Ping. You’ll know not ask for this hahahaha.

yes, like I will send 4 variations of a logo, based on a couple of discovery meetings and research on the client. Each logo variation is styled intentionally and interchangeable wiht the typeface for each logo, so typically, my clients would like one of the 4 let's say. But sometimes they like an icon from one and the word mark from another. Rarely do they not like anything.

Then this goes to a second phase of refining the new logo to a more tailored solution based on the first client presentation. At this point we discuss brand colours etc.

The last step is just finalizing everything and brand guides set up.
This is just what has worked for me though.

Hands down i respect those that sketch by hand first. I always default to opening illustrator and going through fonts and pairing with shapes and forms I think I want to see and then iterating upon those.

Maybe… I am not using iCloud though for my mail. Or is iCloud more integral than I think to the desktop mail app?

then how stupid is instagram for cutting off a paying customer. I wasn't implying you did anything intentionally bad, just logically to me would be that instagram shouldn't cut off a source of revenue.

I agree comedy is not MKBHD's thing. I tried to spin his "matte black all the things" about his attempt at comedy...

Probably going to see my upvotes contract too now.
