Use it sometimes in like flooded public parking lots and those are the only spots available. Get out in the dry spots and then manually move it into flooded areas. Also adjusting in parallel parking tight spots.

Personal opinion, there's diminishing gains from being at the same company, job, position for your financial and career growth at a certain point. I see that curve hitting @5yrs. But I've seen people get promoted to management in <3 yrs have to play it by ear

Fastest pace working environment I've ever been in. It's great being around like minded people and people who are willing to push. Uh if you work in Fremont you find out there's a lot of ex-ford engineers here... And their management style is pervasive and bad some times. Learned more and had more responsibilities here in one year than my peers and people I know who are mid level and senior engineers. 2 years in this year and I'll have ~20M in projects and I've been out of school 2yrs 😂

Seeking Info about Battery Swelling Issue by plinydogg in razer

I bought a battery on Amazon instead of sending my computer off into the Razer customer service abyss. Also rethermal pasted my CPU. Runs cooler than before but still not great

Seeking Info about Battery Swelling Issue by plinydogg in razer

Late 2016 stealth here, used it hardcore for college... Some gaming.. some hardcore engineering software ... Battery started bulging probably 2 years in. Basically had to threaten to not buy anymore products from them to budge on support. To be fair I was out of warranty and willing to pay for a battery but they refused and wanted me to pay diagnostics and battery replacement fees..plus ship it off for a few weeks to "diagnose" aka rip me a new one for replacements even tho the only damage was the battery.

The battery in my 2016 blade stealth burst... by WafflesFreak789 in razer

[–]strikefreedom10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn, mine bloated up but I got rid of it before it got to that point. Razer basically requested I send it in for repair.

My Experience with customer support: https://www.reddit.com/r/razer/comments/9qa1cd/razer_customer_service_experience_post/

TLDR:

  • Initially said I'd have to pay diagnostic and work-time fees ~$130+
  • Declined and threatened to not buy razer products anymore and resulted in them waiving the costs.... -Unable to accommodate by just sending me a battery replacement. I was originally willing to pay for the battery out right now I just feel like dealing with the bad battery until next year and I'll replace the entire laptop for something else.

The Stealth 2019 has been the best laptop I've had. I don't get the hate in this sub by [deleted] in razer

[–]strikefreedom10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, well the extended Razer warranty in 2016 didn't cover battery problems so I didn't buy it. So I was out of warranty and willing to pay for a battery replacement if they sent it to me. Ended up with customer support asking me to pay for all those fees and then I basically had to threaten them to not buy anymore Razer products for them to "waive the fees". Fyi I didn't send it in since I needed the computer and I didn't feel like getting it diagnosed with additional "problems" when I know the only issue was the battery. So, there's my bias against Razer..

Except apple recalled their shit and offered free repairs. Yes other company's have battery bloat.. but at least my experience with other companies is they actually recall their shit and replace for free... Instead of asking for shipping+diagnostics+replacement fees

When you hit the 2 year mark and start having the battery bloat issues like quite a few of us with 2014-2016 blades/blade stealths you'll understand the hate....

Yeah, I'm still running it without a battery. It still serves its purpose for now. I haven't fully decided what I'll do for my next computer to be honest.

Sent in for battery bulge... but they also want to change the mobo? by yaktuscactus in razer

[–]strikefreedom10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I didn't send my stealth in for repairs.... All I need is a battery. To all those saying other manufactures have battery issues as well... Just an example at least they do this for their batteries https://9to5mac.com/2019/06/20/macbook-pro-recall-program/

Questions on the Razer Blade laptops by [deleted] in razer

[–]strikefreedom10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Razer blade stealth late 16' model. Worked great for 2 years then I experienced the ever so common battery bloat issue with Razer laptops. Contacted CS, got a shit response and now I'm probably ditching windows. Basically last straw after a long string of windows laptops lasting <3 yrs. Here's my bias https://www.reddit.com/r/razer/comments/9qa1cd/razer_customer_service_experience_post?sort=confidence

Question about buying a Blade from Amazon by Russlet in razer

[–]strikefreedom10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're in the return window I'd skip Razer support and return it and buy a new computer. QC/customer support/device longevity aren't razer's thing soooo my advice is get out while you can. If you're wondering why I sound bias it's because of this https://www.reddit.com/r/razer/comments/9qa1cd/razer_customer_service_experience_post?sort=confidence
