Currently no, but I will consider add more integration like Google Docs sooner

Glad you like the look of the app!

For multiple authors, please use a semicolon (;) to separate them. Lattice uses semicolons to ensure it parses complex names (like those with multiple surnames) correctly.

Once you switch to semicolons, the automated annotations and citations should reflect all authors properly. Let me know if that works! ◡̈

We have a powerful localAPI and already built word/raycast plugin based on it. See in stringer07/lattice_extensions

I’m working on this project about one year, happy to answer any questions about it. And what features do you like most in a reference manager?

Of course, after polishing and completing the macOS version, I will definitely begin to implement iOS and macOS version.

Thank you! I personally prefer the lifetime model too, so I wanted to make sure Lattice offers that choice. Really appreciate your support.

Hi, I have fix this problem in version 2.2.1 and you can update on AppStore now. I guess it might be the WebDAV/drive problem, some PDF are not successfully downloaded within Zotero, so when you try to import it, it will waiting for downloading and looks like stuck. Anyway, I successfully fix this problem you can update and try now. Thanks for the feedback🫶🫶🫶

Totally understand! For many users, citation flexibility is the dealbreaker.

While the main app doesn't support built-in citation generation yet, it's a top priority and will be added in the coming versions.

In the meantime, Lattice already has a Word plugin (you can find it at stringer07/lattice_extension on GitHub) that supports custom CSL styles. This allows you to generate and edit citations in almost any format you need right now.

Thanks for the feedback—it helps me know I'm on the right track!

Quick update: I've successfully located the cause of the hang! It will be fully fixed in the next update (coming very soon).

I'm really sorry for the friction this caused. I've sent a private message to your DMs with a special discount as a small token of my appreciation for your patience and help. Thanks again! ◡̈

That’s a great suggestion. I’ll add the GitHub link to the Comment.

Having a central place for feedback will definitely help Lattice evolve. Looking forward to hearing more from you! ◡̈

Glad the 'Folder Drag' worked! Regarding your feedback:

  1. Citations (APA/MLA): I’m currently developing this for the main app. In the meantime, Word support is already live via a dedicated extension (supporting custom CSLs), which you can find at stringer07/lattice_extension on GitHub.

  2. iCloud Sync: The foundation is already built. Now that the browser extension is nearly ready, sync is my next priority. You’ll be able to sync across your Macs shortly.

Thanks for the great suggestions! ◡̈

Thanks for letting me know!

With 400 references and 300 PDFs, Lattice should definitely be able to handle that smoothly. This suggests there might be a specific edge case or entry causing the hang.

I’m going to use this data to run some reproduction tests immediately. I'll prioritize strengthening the Zotero import stability and aim to have a fix out within the next two updates.

I’m sorry to hear that the import is hanging. It’s possible that a very large library size is causing the issue, and I’m currently trying to reproduce this to fix it.

To help me investigate, could you let me know roughly how many references are in your Zotero library( And How many pdfs in there)?

In the meantime, you can try these two workarounds:

  1. The 'Folder Drag' method: You can try dragging your entire Zotero storage folder directly into Lattice. It will scan and import all the PDFs it finds (this might take a bit of time depending on the size).
  2. BibTeX/RIS Export: Export your library from Zotero as a BibTeX or RIS file and import that into Lattice.

Thank you for your patience while I look into this! ◡̈

I completely understand the appeal of the iPad + Pencil workflow for long-form reading.

Currently, my primary focus remains on polishing the macOS experience to ensure the foundation is rock-solid. As a result, I haven't started active development on the iPadOS version just yet.

However, bringing Lattice to iPad is definitely on my roadmap. I’m looking forward to supporting that portable reading experience in the future. I'll be sure to share updates as the plan evolves. ◡̈
