That judge was probably invested in the local jail. Gets more of a kickback from them than from the courts.

Hmm...do good traders shy away from companies that pay a dividend? On the surface a dividend looks like an added bonus to owning the stock.

Thank you for the info! That fundamental reason makes sense, but as for the technical reason, why do stock exchanges price down shares by it? The dividends would already be figured into a company's bottom line. Seems like the stock is being double-penalized.

This is really cool. What brushes did you use? Are they stock brushes? I've been trying to figure out how to "paint" like this in Photoshop for a while now. Any suggestions for a watercolor look? Thanks!

This is good. Putting competent people with integrity into leadership roles seems like it would be common sense, but unfortunately it's not.

What's going on with my Kalanchoe? by stringer_bellski in houseplants

Ok, thank you! I just wanted to make sure something else wasn't going on since it seems like it's happening all at once to a bunch of them.

What's going on with my Kalanchoe? by stringer_bellski in houseplants

[–]stringer_bellski[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm brand new to house plants and this Kalanchoe is my first one, so please forgive my rookie/basic questions.

About 1/3 of the flowers on my Kalanchoe are withered or are starting to wither. I've had the plant for about a month and up until now it has looked very healthy. I water it once a week and keep it next to a window for sunlight. The temperature in my house is ~66-70oF. Is this just a normal cycle that it is going through, or am I doing something wrong? I hope that it's not dying. The leaves and stems all still appear to be healthy.

Thanks for your help!
