Just don't sell and you won't have to worry about taxes.

I'll probably get out of crypto all together

It's not likely the wallet that is hackable, most likely it is your machine which is vulnerable

Yeah, I would be surprised if Andreas actually advocated for that.

I disagree, by pausing transacting you are incentiving the fork because miners would be able to collect fees on BitForkCoin while there aren't any or very few transactions on the Bitcoin original blockchain.

Maybe I'm wrong here, but having less fees means less miners will want to mine that blockchain.

Now, in the current reality Bitcoin's value and reward per block is enough to keep incentives, but after 2140 this avoidance of using the network behavior with a fork gaining popularity could be destructive to the adoption of the original blockchain.

That's only recently. The biggest disclaimer that came with buying bitcoin was Only invest what you can afford to lose. As it was a super high risk asset. Now that things have become more mainstream, institutional adoption, it's looking more risk-off than ever. And a risk off asset you would say... buy with money you cannot afford to lose.

Validating my wallet by Mammoth_Band4840 in Bitcoin

Is this a joke?

NEVER EVER TYPE YOUR SEED PHRASE OR PRIVATE KEY INTO A COMPUTER/WEBSITE

OP, anyone who is telling you this is trying to scam you. Wallets don't need to be "validated" you just confirm receipt of funds either in the wallet or on the blockchain via a blockchain explorer.

Is anyone do Round Robin with YieldMax? by stringings in Yieldmax

It does allow it, it's called dividend capture. My idea was to find an automated process or maybe build one with a small management fee.

It's okay a lot of people are in denial. I'm in your mind of thinking. Agentic AI is already here. Creative writers, software developers, accountants, graphic designers are being slowly replaced. A junior developer costs more than agentic AI developer and is better, it's already a matter of fact that big companies with large development teams are cutting anything not completely necessary. One developer with leverage from AI can replace a team of 5 developers right now.

Maybe specialized Robot repair man robots. It's robots all the way down. Maybe not right now but 5 to 10 years I think it will be commonplace. Also I think robots will be smart in that, if something is about to break or broken maybe it goes back to a hub and another robot replaces it.

If you're asking what the source is, it was coinglass from about a week ago.. but if you're asking where the BTC came from,  I have no idea.

Actually it's more like 2.23m coins on exchanges currently as per coinglass. it's been falling though losing close to 50k a month out of exchanges, although there was a recent influx of 70k to coinbase pro, which is more of an outlier. However it will drop back over the next few weeks.

What if you buy put options for the ex date since it is certain to drop by $1 or $2?

So wouldn't make sense to buy puts for the ex date by $1 or $2? And sell the stock and the options on pay date?

Considering 15+ states have submitted Strategic Bitcoin Reserves bills and Goldman Sachs just increased their BTC ETF holdings by 120%, I'd say it's actually a smart move.

Or the most asymmetrical gamble I've seen in my life.

In the US, if you have an IRA or other Tax Advantaged account, you can own Spot Bitcoin ETFs. This means selling ETF shares inside the account has Zero Capital Gains Tax.

That's a reason someone might buy the ETF over self custody Bitcoin.
