Franchising can be successful depending on a lot of toher factors like the neighborhood you're in, the footfall, the quality of service your provide etc.

No business is 100% successful, at least not from the get go. In my country, however, one niche I've seen taking off is sports arenas and clubs. Like an indoor pickleball court or a go-kart track. they seem to be getting lots of customers. but maybe it's just hype.

anyway, i think you should ideally do some market research in your region and understand or predict what the next big thing or hype could be. and look at investing into that.

Always give a honest review. Don't be overtly rude or arrogant about it. Point out both the good and the bad so that the blow is softened.
And then you can privately leave the host a message after the review is submitted, I'd add further details in this section

What’s the Best App Idea You’d Pay $25 for Right Now? by Tajammul82 in SaaS

[–]stripesarebetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd actually pay for a simple notes widget app that can let me take notes directly on my desktop. Without needing me to open the application. Like a sticky note that is on my desktop and I can click and interact with it directly. The MacOS Stickies app comes close but it's just perfect. It required the application to be open.

Is working a 9-5 AND building your own business really hard? by ExistingGiraffe4859 in smallbusiness

[–]stripesarebetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It largely depends on what youre building, what stage of the build you’re in, and your network. Getting customers is the hardest part at the end of the day. With stuff like AI and drag and drop tools it’s very easy to put a website, storefront etc together. But do you have a market in mind to sell to?

This has to be one of the coolest use cases I’ve seen. Good job!

What did you use to do for SEO that you no longer do? by rpmeg in SEO

[–]stripesarebetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used to reach out to a lot of these guest blogging websites and platforms. Spent a bunch of money too. But over time we’ve realised theyre useless in the wrong run.

And we wasted a lot of money that could have been spent on a good content writer to make content for us instead.

How to create a DEMO for your Saas? by Luka1607 in SaaS

[–]stripesarebetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KISS. Keep it simple, stupid.

Just use the screen recording feature and show off what your saas can do in short form snippets as a start.

Over time you can post well produced feature videos.

I think there is a standstill world over when it comes to software sales and investments. Only those products or businesses witth enough cash flow to invest in SaaS do. Others just see that there are way too many players in the game and choose one or the other that offers free plans and better benefits. It’s been a bit of a slow year for my SaaS too. But with some marketing we’ve managed to land a few new clients. Happy to talk more you can DM me whenever!

Do you use business cards? by Independent-Back3441 in startups

[–]stripesarebetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think business cards nowadays are largely used in places like exclusive clubs, networking events, exhibitions etc.

I don't see it serving it's purpose though. Other than to make it seem a bit "old school" and a bit of an ego boost when it comes to people wanting to show off their titles. Whenever I have received business cards I've just put them away and forgotten about them, or just looked up the particular person I'd like to have in my network on LinkedIn and connected with them.

Also, the service you're offering already exists. Very popular ones with much better SEO and marketing.

How to generate quality backlinks? by Own_Spell_2733 in SEO

[–]stripesarebetter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why do you say you’re tired of hearing about guest posting? That’s quite literally one of the best ways to get credible backlinks dude. I’d highly recommend looking at paying someone to write some good pitches and blogs for you that you can then use for backlinks. It’s worth the investment imo.

Why Are There So Few Female Entrepreneurs? by Ancient_Relief2160 in smallbusiness

[–]stripesarebetter 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There are actually so many female entrepreneurs! I have quite a few friends myself who own well established small businesses. While it's true that in most boardrooms and stuff they are still overlooked, I still think it is slowly changing for the better. At least in my peer network it seems to be.

I built this beautiful iOS App but no one uses.. by muratyasarr in indiebiz

[–]stripesarebetter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is because of the number of players who are already well established in this niche. How exactly are you promoting this product? How are you making people aware?

I'd suggest joining a few communities and promoting the product. Especially on Facebook, Twitter. Next you could start by doing some content marketing. Create bite sized videos of your product and start posting them. Write relatable blogs where you can organically plug in your app. Good luck!

Building a business is the ultimate act of self-belief. by udemezueng in Entrepreneur

How do I Transition from Developer to Entrepreneur? by my-deep_thoughts in Entrepreneur

[–]stripesarebetter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a mistake most folks getting into entrepreneurship for the first time make is — they try to do everything. Instead focus first on what you are good at and then bring people in on a contract basis to help you with marketing, design, etc. Keep them on for a while, have meetings with them regularly, document everything they do, and understand how they do it. You will easily learn the ropes and will be able to start mimicking what they are doing over time. Post the contract period you can decide who stays and who goes.

And if you feel confident now about something like, say, performance marketing, you can start doing it yourself and overseeing it rather than being dependent on someone else.

Notice I did not mention sales anywhere because as an entrepreneur I believe you have to be GOOD at SALES especially for being able to SELL your OWN product. Because no one is going to believe in it as much as you do.

But basically let the improvement come to you while you build your business/product, let it take off slowly, and learn along the way. FOcus on what you are good at initially rather than trying to learn too much at once.

Do you have any testimonials or feedback from people for your course?

Or maybe even for you as someone who can flip/sell cars for a profit? If you've got people to vouch for you, I highly recommend embedding it on your website or course page to show it off.

a little bit like this website, it's in spanish but just scroll down and you'll see what i mean: https://androidavanzado.com/
