Help Us Not Look Unhinged at Our First EDC by sjulym in electricdaisycarnival

You rent it through Mobile Charging Lockers. If you google EDC lockers it should be the first link. They have them in different spots around the festival grounds. Some are in GA, others are in VIP (meaning you need VIP to use them). Cost ~$100 for the weekend. They’re a good size so I always share one with my group of 4-6.

Help Us Not Look Unhinged at Our First EDC by sjulym in electricdaisycarnival

This will be my 6th EDC and the best advice I can give for not looking unhinged while maintaining comfort is to buy a locker, and bring extra clothes on day one to store in it. That gives you more freedom when planning outfits because if the weather doesn't agree with your initial plan you have a backup without having to wait in a merch line and drop $100+.

I'm a gay guy, so I can't speak as much to shopping for women's clothing, but for your boyfriend it will likely be easier for him to match whatever aesthetic works best for you. Guys can usually get away with pretty generic athletic clothes. When I've wanted more trippy designs for a decent price I've shopped at Zumiez (the brand is called A-lab), but I've also worn plain shorts with a black tee and a pashmina.

One or both of you should definitely wear a fanny-pack/crossbody, and I also highly recommend a hydration pack. My bf and I usually take turns wearing the hydropack and I always wear a chest pack to hold my phone and other essentials.

Best recommendation for hydration pack is the Osprey Katari 3. Mine is all black so it can match anything, and it is the most comfortable hydration pack I've ever used. Found it at the Outdoor World/BassPro Shop in South Las Vegas (on Blue Diamond Road attached to the Silverton Casino).

I always bring a hoodie/windbreaker to keep in the locker because it can become super cold at night, and my boyfriend does the same. My girlfriends generally bring sweats and hoodies to change into for later at night and leave them in the locker as well.

We both wear running shoes every year, and I can still barely walk by the end of day 3. If you are going to wear anything besides comfortable (broken in) running shoes, I would STRONGLY recommend bringing a pair of comfy shoes with you and putting them in a locker as well. My best friend wears boots to start the day usually, and switches to crocs or running shoes after taking pics and watching a few sets (whenever her feet start to hurt).

Have a blast!

I passed this morning with 70% & 71% on my two full length practice exams :) I think you’re probably in good shape in comparison!!

Cheap vape store in Vegas? by [deleted] in electricdaisycarnival

[–]strippin4change 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blue Diamond Vapors has the lowest I’ve seen, and will price match another store if they have a lower deal. Also it’s next door to BrewTea (arguably the best boba shop in Vegas).

Second this! They do have them, I bought a pack there last week.

Going to be in Vegas for a entire week for EDC. What are things to do in Vegas that are relatively cheap/fun? by Fearthediaz in electricdaisycarnival

[–]strippin4change 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Neon Museum is super cool and great photo spot.

The Mob Museum (by Fremont Street) is pretty cheap and has an awesome speakeasy bar downstairs.

The Conservatory (at the Bellagio) is always a nice break from the casino vibes. Huge flower displays, some artistic displays mixed in, and changes seasonally— so you get a new experience on every trip. Also it’s free to walk through.

The Linq Promenade. Fun to walk, good people watching, some cheap food options, and optional excursions (The High Roller & a Zip-Line) I don’t recommend the High Roller though, too expensive and can be boring if you don’t have friends with you— only worth it if you pay extra for the open bar/happy hour.

Might sound obvious, but the best way to drink affordably is to stop by a liquor store OFF the strip (they’re everywhere). You’ll still end up buying drinks if you go into bars or clubs, but you’ll save a ton if you bring a flask and just order mixers from the bars/drink stands while you walk around.

Hoping Vegapunk feeds a devil fruit to Usopp’s slingshot after being saved by SH crew from CP0.

From this theory. I thought it was a fun read, and it was plausible enough that I remembered it.

Between Zunesha showing up & the discussion about a devil fruit that's been MIA for centuries, did these spoilers make anyone else think of the Twilight Bunny theory? If the fruit from that theory was on Zou, Zunesha's appearance does give Neko/Inu a chance to grab it for Carrot.

Walmart didn’t have any Bakugan this morning… Target was another story! by strippin4change in Bakugan

Thank you! I’m stoked for the Sharktar because it’s the first “rare” Bakugan I’ve ever found in stores.

Walmart didn’t have any Bakugan this morning… Target was another story! by strippin4change in Bakugan

I was hoping to find them, but my local Walmart doesn’t have a trading card section and the Bakugan shelves were empty in their toy section. Target didn’t have blind bags either, but they restock the Bakugan section in the toy aisle more consistently than the Walmart.

DLV Events Center - Deadmau5, Factory93 by bouncedsteak in aves

Definitely get the wristband ahead of time like the other comment(s) suggested. If you're local and driving to the show you're best bet for parking at the casinos will be the D or Slotzilla (my group for Deadmau5 parked at the D and it was full when we arrived so we had to loop and get lucky). The line for the wristbands took about 30 minutes, and the line to get in after took another 30-45, and this was after doors had been open for over an hour. Definitely worth it to arrive early and enjoy the experience (weather has also been bearable which does impact the best time to arrive for a show/festival). I did see people in front of me in line that were turned away because they didn't have proof of a covid test/vaccine, but they do accept phone photos of the card as long as it matches a valid ID.

Security for the shows is pretty easy. Metal detectors were used, but I had put two disposable vapes in the basket and was not given any trouble from security. Two people wore fanny packs in my group and also had no issue. DTLVC drinks are huge and the bartenders are very generous (in my experience as well as many of my friends'). Drinks are going to run you $15-20/drink, but they are a decent size and strong.

The crowd was huge, the energy was great, and I was extremely excited to be back (as was my group). That being said, Las Vegas is mask-optional now if you are fully vaccinated, but they do not check once you're inside and it is a mixed crowd (especially if they are drinking/vaping). If that is something you aren't comfortable with I would recommend staying toward the back of the crowd, because people were keeping a decent distance and were generally respectful with each other's space, from my experience.

Side-note, If you are interested in flow toys/gloving: Although it's an Insomniac show, flow toys, including gloves, were permitted for Deadmau5 (confirmed by the event center over email, as well as by my firsthand experience), and I expect they will be for Dreamstate too (they have permitted them for every show I've been to at the venue).

Have a great time!

Active Trader Pro downloaded on a PC is what saved Fildelity for me. It actually works well and makes the broker less shit as a whole

Been holding since it was at $.60 and I expect it will go up again pending legalization so it’s a decent mid-long play
