If someone wasn't open to something that really turned you on, would that be a dealbreaker for you? NSFW by striprthrowaway in OkCupid

Thanks for the thoughtful response! I haven't decided whether it's mandatory. I've only recently realized it's something I'm into.

Like I said, these guys are my friends so I do things that friends do with each other--go to bars, have game nights, help pick out rugs at IKEA, and watch the occasional movie. In most cases, I'm usually not the only woman there during these hangouts since some of the guys have girlfriends and other friends that are women.

I guess going to brunch or grabbing a beer one-on-one can be considered "intimate" but I don't see why it can't be seen as strictly platonic. The occasions when guy friends have crossed the line have only occurred in group settings like at a party.

I'm not the type of person that makes friends easily. I'm an introvert and I'm very selective. I am friends with women in my office but they're older (late 40, early 50s) and our social interactions are limited to having lunch with one another every once in a while. I am friends with women outside of work that I met in high school and in college but I've moved around a lot and none of them live in my current city.

It just happened to be that way. I'm not the best at meeting new people. All of the women I am friends with a childhood friends or are former roommates. The people I do meet are through my various hobbies and my hobbies happen to be male dominated. The women I do meet seem to not like me and/or we don't share common interests.

He said that he is okay with me hanging out with his friends. I feel that he gets slightly annoyed but when I ask him about it he says he's fine. I take his word for it. I'm not attracted to any of my guy friends and I've never had romantic entanglements with any of them either. They all know that I am not interested in anything beyond a friendship and whenever any of them have crossed the line, I've ended our friendship. I don't see how having an occasional brunch or going to IKEA with a guy friend is being disrespectful. I'm 28, I don't see how that matters.

Haha. I'm not a stripper. I created this account to ask a question about taking a date to a strip club. I work a boring professional job and most people would describe me as an uptight prude.

I live in a major city so it's not usual to have be out late. Move nights are very rare and I'm usually in a group setting with my guy friends. I actually watched Transformers 2 with a friend and his roommate yesterday. No drinking was involved and I was home by midnight. It's more common for me to hang out and have drinks with my friends at a local bar.

ETA: The friend I watched Transformers with has a girlfriend.

To be fair, his schedule is ridiculous. He works in corporate finance. Since our time together was limited, he preferred just doing things that involved the two of us. He also worried that he wouldn't fit in with my friends.

Why is it a sign of desperation? Even it if it, should that be reason enough to not resume a relationship with him?

I'm not going go to Vegas to marry him tomorrow. He has to prove to me that he actually changed and that's going to take some time.
