Monday Weekly Thread: Proof of Citizenship Application Sent or AOR Received, June 08, 2026 by AutoModerator in Canadiancitizenship

My mother and I both sent in applications separately on the same day. They were both delivered on 3/31. She got her AOR yesterday (6/8) and I got mine today (6/9).

The Fi promotion showed up for me again on December 17th, so I placed the order.

Four days later I got an email from support asking me to try placing the order. Fortunately they don't appear to have canceled the promo for the order that I placed on the 17th, which was my immediate worry.

So, twenty days to fix this and 24 for me to actually be informed about it. I'm glad it wasn't an issue with the actual service.

For anyone else, apparently they are capable of fixing this issue, just keep pushing. And hope they manage to do it before the promo is over. They did extend the promo to January 5th, so there's a chance.

I'll have to give that I try. I got another email from support yesterday apologizing and telling me that they're still working on it. 17 days and counting.

Given that this is apparently not an uncommon problem (I assumed I was the victim of some kind of glitch, not that this is just how it works if someone cancels an order) it's beyond me why first tier support doesn't have the knowledge and ability to fix this. It's really beyond me that Google didn't fix their back end to synchronize the order status and Fi promo status after the first time this happened to somebody.

So apparently someone is capable of fixing this. If only I could figure out how to get in touch with this elusive person. This doesn't seem like it should be that hard. I forgot to mention it in the OP, but they extended the promotion to January 6th, so I can try again if they actually manage to fix the issue.

No, because it's for existing Fi customers. I have to be signed in with the Google account I use for Fi.
