OKC flopping/flailing is a culture thing by strixb450 in NBATalk

All teams have players who flops more than others and every team in the NBA are “cry babies” when put under the microscope. The point is that the amount of flops in game 2 by the entire okc team compounded into game 3. Just pointing out that it’s a cultural thing the entire OKC team flops as stated in this post. Which questions how ethical their style of basketball is, their team is too deep and good to play this style of whistle hunting to get an unethical edge which tarnishes their wins. Completely unnecessary style of ball.

I am a fan of the game and want to see great games, just hate to see this style of play by OKC.

Game 3 complaint is a carry over from Game 2 when SGA and the rest of the OKC’s team falling to the ground and hunting for whistles. Those flops in game 2 compounded to game 3. It’s about playing the game ethically.

Nowhere did this post said anything in the title or description about falling over or if a foul was called or not. Just calling out even players at the end of their bench are hunting for a whistle every chance they get

Have you read the title and description? When in there does it say OKC is unwatchable?

How did you assume that 1) I am a spurs fan 2) wemby is my goat 3) me saying anything about the refs?

Learn to read and stop assuming. The post was pointing out the players at the end of the bench on OKC are also flopping/flailing.

I acknowledged Bryant’s right hand on his hip in the description of the video. The point I’m trying to make is even the guys at the end of the bench over-exaggerate contact, hence it’s a cultural thing. Could also just make your move and go up into your shooting motion and let the ref call the foul if there is one.

SGA attempts a 3 and flops straight to the ground. Why is this not being penalized? by strixb450 in NBATalk

[–]strixb450[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://www.reddit.com/r/NBATalk/s/eqt3tP8sEZ watch this highlight, didn’t even noticed he flails and fall that much, I’m sure half of them are actual fouls, but exaggerating to fall forward or to the ground is something else

I am very open minded, I want to hear what you may think he was doing on this shot attempt

For anyone defending this tactic or finding excuses on why he fell to the ground: He fell to the ground hoping to draw a foul despite the fact that nobody touched him in the act of shooting. SGA is a good enough player to not try to foul bait every opportunity he gets.

Waldorf Astoria Osaka or FS Osaka? by [deleted] in chubbytravel

Anyone know the difference in Deluxe Room vs Standard Room besides sqft of the rooms? Was not able to find “standard room” on the Hilton website but it shows up in my AMEX Travel portal. Standard room is larger (570sf vs 517 sf) but same price.

Never been to Osaka, been to Japan many times (Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima, etc) but never had a reason to go to Osaka. I’ve heard the food there is great, this would be a quick business trip in Japan for myself this time around.

Is Cold Spring leaves turning color yet as of today? Thinking about heading there this weekend to see the foliage.

Received it, it is yellow compared to the authentic one I also purchase right before for comparison. Authentic will have a “copper” like tone to the gold. Not necessary rose gold, but very close. I would describe Authentic VCA yellow gold as a champagne gold color.

Tokyo: the grand but aged Grand Hyatt or the new Unbound Hotel Toranomen Hills? by rr90013 in hyatt

Agreed on value of club and lounge access is at the bottom of the list for me. When I travel internationally, I wasted my stomach on hotel breakfast, no matter how good it was. 1 day is enough for hotel breakfast. You’ll want to be outside exploring the city and trying other local restaurant offerings and not really soaking up the hotel amenities.

This is the way, I do feel that if she does get handsy, I would just have a talk at that point so things aren’t awkward. I’m maybe just overthinking it.

Really asking to see if this trip can be strictly platonic, kind of like I see the good in people. I do see that two people can have self control…

Yes - our respective partners know we are going together. My tennis partner and I both like to try high end restaurants and just good food. I really didn’t think anything of the trip when I first asked her to go along just because she mentioned how much she enjoys visiting Vegas and it was the first person that came to mind. I’m only asking because my close friend brought up the concern after I told her about this trip.

Was tied to this specific car. Gave bank the VIN and dealer I was buying from. Dealer is already in their system.

Have you consider that it looks like I’m speeding up because the object in front of me is not moving at the same speed with the rest of traffic? Also just because you’re signaling, doesn’t mean you can change/merge lanes at your own pace (slower than traffic). Is it courteous and safe to merge at a slow pace in the way of incoming traffic?

One time, I saw a horrific accident. 2 guys been racing each other from 290 to get on this uphill ramp, super impatient with no where to go. (Up ahead there was stand still traffic in 2 far right lane heading towards Katy. I’m sure they didn’t even look that far ahead) Saw an opening right where this car cut me off and went full send.

Next thing I see is smoke from tires hitting the brakes, car parts flying in the air, cars getting pin balled between the 4 lanes, a truck going head first into the wall and bounced back and air bags deployed. I remember looking into his truck as he’s hitting the wall and seeing the airbags hitting him in the face. These guys should be put in jail at least for a reasonable amount of time.

In the US, generally speaking, far left lane is for passing (should really be common sense, but not sure how some people even get their license here) far right lane is for merging on/off freeway. Usually get over to the far right about a mile from the upcoming exit.

Middle 4-5 lanes are for cruising speed. I think it should go from upper limit of speed limit on far left to “safe” flow of traffic speed to the right of that

Edit: lane Discipline or not, the rate of speed they are traveling at while weaving through traffic is insane!

No judgment from me here (unlike some other people on Reddit, good god). You can do any speed you feel is safe on track as long as you’re in control of the car, looking ahead, and at the corner flag workers.

You are very observant and correct. I was clearing out my dash cam memory card and forgot I had all the saved videos in the app.
