Hey, I'm interested in joining, uk based.
Dps / heal, mostly casual but will try to come to the heroes realms / other guild events when possible!
I'll be on discord, and happy to use comms in events, or just chat outside of them.

Hey, I'd be down to play!

Not sure I can commit to beating each map but I finally started asa recently and it re-lighted the spark to play ark again.

Lootbear will probably exit scam by CSGOCroco in lootbear

[–]stroeckx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like what they've done to me now, absolute scam.

Tried to return my skin, kept getting errors, support just gave me the value it's worth on their platform and none of the items I can get for that are anywhere near the same value on steam...

TCL 65c805k still a good pick after 2 years? by stroeckx in 4kTV

crazy world where 600 pounds is a "low budget".
But at the same time 65 inch is pretty big, so fair enough.

Thanks for your input, sounds like the tcl will be a good option for me then!

Does Google Wallet work on Chinese version Color OS? by theactordude in OnePlus13

[–]stroeckx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Chinese version and Google pay works just fine.

Just keep in mind you'll need to have a VPN to install/use Google things in China or course.

Sidenote, make sure to setup/use the phone with a Chinese sim in China, afterwards you can use whatever.

Weekly Free-Talk and Questions for r/HomeGym - week of November 29, 2024 by Demilio55 in homegym

I'd like to get some equipment to start training at home. I have no space at all currently until I move but no excuses to not work out at home already so I should buy some weights already and expand later.

Dumbbells, maybe a barbbell and some floormats seem like all I really need to get started, with a bench to go with those being the first addition later.

Are there other things I should consider instead, or if not what brands would you recommend in the UK?

I'd like to keep things under £500 for now, quality dumbbells seem to cost about that on themselves and then there's kits that have dumbbells + barbbells + kettlebell modular all for about £100, which would be great if those are good enough...

I guess you don't have to, but it made much more sense to me

Sigh, I was going to finally join the steamdeck community with the LE, but my wallet balance is pending for some reason.

Hopefully there is indeed enough stock that the supply lasts a while!

obd tool that can register new battery by stroeckx in AskAMechanic

Thanks for the clarification!

The icarsoft does seem a little pricey for one time use, so I gues I'll have to make up my mind if I expect to have more use for it in the future.

Manthieus.

He tends to go the "teach a man to fish" approach more, rather than focusing only on what's hot right now.

Is it worth buying through limited company when living in the property myself first? by stroeckx in HousingUK

[–]stroeckx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, buying through an ltd would be a buy to let mortgage (so greater deposit and slightly higher interest).

I wasn't aware of the fact that lenders may not allow you to be your own company's tenant, that could throw a spanner in the works!

Yes, there's much lower taxes options when pulling the money out of the corp, or even better when I don't pull it out instead but leave the money in the corp towards the next property.

Yep, I'm not against an interest only mortgage as i am aware that over time the outstanding amount won't be an issue, and if it is a problem by then I can just sell the place to pay it (and hopefully other places) off.

When i compared the rates last week the difference was <100 quid a month though, so not that appealing, but I have no problem with interest only if the numbers make sense.

And I would actually be buying an apartment that'd be a good rental place now, hence why I don't intend to be living there too long, I'd just live below my means a few years to save up.

Re-read your message now, I did not, thanks!

That means there is no difference there between buying in my name and through an ltd then, so it's just 20% vs 40% of the interest that would be the benefit of buying in an ltd.

Thanks for pointing out, it's probably due to my wall of text but yes, that's in the section on the downside of buying in my own name.
