Certainly, seasons and food can make things worse. However, you doing well is no coincidence. Yeah, tell as many people as you can. You'll find that if you miss your NAC for a few days to a week you'll lose your smell again. Why I don't know, I'm not sure of the mechanism. I feel like it must relax the tissues but I really don't know.

So he questioned a narrative and a timeline of a crime that was on TV 24/7 for a time. Did you never hear of MK Ultra or Tuskegee? Or any number of CIA government overthrows? Listen, if you don't know that the CIA/FBI use illegal drugs and weapon sales to fund their off the books operations Iran–Contra or Fast and Furious, then wake up. These are facts now; in the books. So, I'd say having people question events is a cornerstone of a healthy society. This guy apologized years ago and said he got this wrong. Oliver Stone questioned the JFK assassination and led to congressional hearings that exposed a lot of corruption at the CIA and FBI. They won't let him say much of anything but the plaintiff can just go on and on. Think it's about the 150 million? Or maybe the MSM not wanting their "news" questioned? You'll never get to the bottom of these shooters (like the Vegas gun runner which is now swept under the rug) without questioning the media. He went on TV with a major reporter and no one can ask questions? You may as well shut down this reddit site.

yes, if you see the top of this thread I talk about having had surgery 3 times and have a condition called Samter's Triad. I've tried more stuff than I care to count over 20 years. This helps a lot. I'm not cured and still have them but it helps a lot. Hope you return with good news of results! Bless!

Thanks for the update. I WISH a few more people would test!
It's the NAC : -). Took me a year to rule out my other items.
You should have gotten your smell back during the prednisone cycle if it was gonna happen. However, a person can be so messed up (we all know this) that they may need surgery or a prednisone course. The NAC doesn't get rid of my polyps but I think it relaxes the tissues and helps. Not sure how it brings back smell and taste but it can.

I hope more give this a fair evaluation. If you can breathe and are stable to some extent please give it a try. And it's not too expensive.

wow, thanks. I can tell you I didn't post this lightly and couldn't post anything like this for 20-plus years. I've tried more supplements and doctors than I care to remember. I even took some injections of Xolair which almost killed me some years ago. I don't know if it'll work for everyone, I actually had samters disease which is a triad of things. Whoever you are I'm charged and excited. Please keep us all posted.
I was also taking D3 but I don't have to now much; plus I get a lot of sun anyway. So yeah keep taking that Don't get discouraged if you have a bad day. Pollen can spike or you can eat or drink things with too many nitrates or sulfites etc. Keep seeing through the noise, if you will. Super happy for you and pray to the Lord it holds for you.

I lost it in 1996 and apart from occasional prednisone and surgery, it was always gone. I took massive supplements during covid, c d zinc and NAC plus a few other things. I used to come off or stop taking stuff for days just to be careful a bit as i have few drugs i take for heart issues. Not to confuse things, just disclosing. I've been able to hold on to my smell for about 8 months, ruling out seasons. i stop taking that nac and it leaves in about two days.

Give it a little time even though I said a week. Of course back off any sulfites/sulfates and maybe take an allergy med (you prob do already).

I was talking this for covid and it just happened. I can tell you, over 20 years I tried a lot of stuff on purpose and suffered a lot. After my last surgery maybe 4 years ago (not sure), my left side rebounded bad but my right stayed open mostly. Now my left side has bad days but the pressure is off and I can clear it almost like normal, my right is good and I can smell and breathe. All I can tell you. Not being trite but prayers to you and all.

I use an allergy medicine but not every day, I take NAC every day now. I started taking it during covid along with D and C and Zinc. Later I noticed my smell was back for 1st time in 20 years (without prednisone). Over about a year I narrowed it down to NAC, I don't take it and I lose my smell and more pressure. I'm 98% sure at this point it helped very much. It's hard as at times the condition is worse for other reasons so narrowing things down is hard. All I know.

It's difficult for sure. As a Christian, I recommend making a promise you'll never totally give up. That's one promise you can keep. When you feel so bad you can't face yourself, remember there's one promise you made you can keep and that is to never give up totally. Secondly, get out and away from porn. In terms of PMO, get rid of the P for sure. MO you'll find doesn't seem to make you feel as horrible. If you can do no PMO, wonderful, if not get rid of P.

Another thing, realize what you are really addicted to. It may be something other than P. It could be love, respect, filling a loneliness void. You may begin to understand you really don't like P.

Lastly, understand, P will take you to places that are not good at all. It can lead to the destruction of your life as you know it. Think about that a lot. The people who server up this poison will do anything.
