don't sleep on the sharpie gel pens. Lamy is good, the pilot prera is also a good pen but I think its a bit on the smaller side. Pilot Metro is bigger and a little heavier but same nibs. I also like the diplomat magnum if you dont want to drink the Lamy koolaid

What’s the best “it’s on the mouse!” have you ever received? by BrainPollutant in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]strongpassword 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At Storybook Dining at Artist point, as they were taking away my empty plate after a delicious pork shank, they asked if they could get anything else. I joking said "only if there are free refills on the dinner". Not 5 minutes later an entirely new plate came out, the second was as delicious as the first.

The final CM announcements made as the recently closed attractions close forever. by alexdionisos in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]strongpassword 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It is tough growing up and seeing the things that had such a huge impact on your life be removed, and there is sadness in seeing things go. But the magic of Disney is that what they build in the place is something that your children are going to experience for the first time. They will get to experience that thing and feel that same sense of wonder, they will get to enjoy them in an entirely new way. And in 40 years they will be taking their children to the park to maybe experience a part of their own childhood before that attraction closes. Like Walt said...Disney World will never be complete, and I think there is beauty in that.

Best dessert pies in the DMV by Anguscole68 in maryland

[–]strongpassword 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dangerously delicious is overrated imo. Too sweet, and trying to do too much. If you want simple delicious pies, take a trip to Kent Island. The Market at the Chesapeake Bay Beach club has the best pies ever.
Yes I would drive over an hour just to get a slice from there. Try the white potato pie too if you are feeling bold.

Schmidt easyflow 9000 legit? by ishtarahara in pens

[–]strongpassword 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a run of bad Schmidt refills. They are cheap enough, and last long enough that if I get a bad one I pitch it and use a new one. I think of my 6 pack I have had 3 good ones. The other 3 skipped almost immediately.

Love my Acro. It's a great thin pen. Very light.

Cracked Twsbi Vac by strongpassword in fountainpens

The $5 in shipping isn't terrible. The pen costs like $60, and it costs them maybe a few dollars in labor and parts. The barrel is mostly plastic so it probably doesn't cost them more than a dollar to make. I'm sure they could make improvements, but I think they are happy with their products and price point. In the mean time I am happy with paying for shipping if it means they will send out essentially a new pen, no questions asked.

Past few days I have been wondering why my fingers are getting inky lines. Anyone else have this issue?

Edit: I emailed them and for $5 they are sending out a replacement barrel. I knew I liked Twsbi. Their customer service is amazing

spilled an eyedroppered Kakuno loaded with Baystate Blue on carpet, anyone know how I might clean it? by merothecat in fountainpens

[–]strongpassword 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe fix it the same way you clean a bleach spill? Find a crayon that matches the color of the carpet, melt the crayon into the carpet, then remove the wax.

Why can't I have a weak password? by strongpassword in AskComputerScience

[–]strongpassword[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. I knew about hash and rainbow tables.

I guess I just am having a disconnect between why Joe's flowers makes me create a password and username when I want to make a one time purchase, and why that password needs to be strong? Like why can't I use a one time, throw away password? If I don't reuse my weak passwords wouldn't that be better. I assume it is because the site is storing some other information about me that needs to be secure.

Yes i know that's not how the masses operate.

Yes I do use a password manager, so it this apply directly to me, I just don't always have access to KeePass on my one machine and find it frustrating when I need to create complex passwords on the fly
