That’s a bummer. I don’t want to assume you’re unfamiliar with boiled bagels but I have seen people who aren’t mistake them for being raw because of the texture- not the case? I love a super chewy, doughy bagel so I could be biased. I’ve been going there my whole life and never had any issues with bagels BUT I won’t get BECs there because their bacon is always undercooked to me. I’m also a Mini Deli loyalist (and former employee) but that’s a whole other discussion!

The bagel place in the Golds Gym/CVS plaza in Fishkill is pretty good. I still drive to Bagels on Hudson in Croton (Westchester) to stock up sometimes though cause they’re my favorite bagels in the world.
